What really stands out, is the 5-star service by the receptionists. Actually even better than 5 stars, as there's none of the condescending glances one might get at 5-star hotels. :-D I'm especially grateful for the extra help I got from the bilingual Japanese receptionist. Despite hostel-style accommodation, I slept very well and found the bed to be comfy. The place is easy to reach on foot from Magome-juku bus stop, even with a large suitcase, as there's a pavement all the way.

Close to 来宮駅 Kinomiya Station just next to Atami. I could walk to Kinomiya shrine from the hotel. Nice view from the room seeing birds and squirrel and I could see the Hatsushima Island. It is very peaceful atmosphere around this area. The Hotel was clean and a nice big size. Private spring bath was great! There was a large window in the lounge room morning sun shine straight through. Owner of this hotel was very kind and helpful. I am very happy to find this Hotel.

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. A few minutes walking from the train station and others touristic places, the location it's so convenient. The common spaces have many Ghibli stuff as decoration, so at some point you feel like you are in a friend's home. Staff are so kind and helpful when we need anything. Bunks has curtains so we have privacy at the dormitory. There is free coffee for everyone! This is the second time I get to Takayama and I loved it as the first time and the accommodation was outstanding for me.

We loved Ken and Yuki’s hospitality! They have a precious house in a privileged location with amazing facilities. They were keen to help with anything we needed and were proactive on helping us with our travel plans. The food is also something worth mentioning, they cook delicious meals with locally produced products.

We had a very spacious room, consisting of bedroom, little living room, patio and bathroom. All equipment modern, still very stylish Japanese. Very quiet, little private bamboo forest in front of the window.

Undoubtedly, this place was one of the best accommodations I have been. The place is spotless. Seiko is a Super Host. She was very helpful to my request. Getting out of the train station you can turn to the left and after crossing the railway it is a two-minutes walk, there is a mini supermarket just in front of the accommodation and a big supermarket 4 minutes up the main road. The Villa is so adorable, if you have time for a little stroll, you will enjoy it. I strongly recommend it.

長徳寺宿坊 Temple Hotel se nachází v destinaci Šingu a poskytuje zahradu, bezplatné Wi-Fi ve všech prostorách a neplacené soukromé parkoviště pro hosty, kteří přijedou autem. The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.

GUESTHOUSE YANAGIYA se nachází ve čtvrti Magome v destinaci Nakatsugawa a nabízí pračku. K zajímavým místům v blízkém okolí patří Magome Wakihonjin Museum. The guest house is very nice , the room is big cozy and good , the stuff are super nice and friendly the dinner in the palace is also good and tasty with spatial ingredients Overall highly recommended. Thanks to the host it was a nice time there Love from israel 🇮🇱
