Ideally located just a 10-minute walk from the iconic Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Guesthouse Soi offers various rooms including private Japanese-style rooms and dormitory rooms. Tranquil environment but still within good reach of the public transport. Easy to wander the east side of the city. The hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful. The guesthouse itself was very cosy and authentic.

Our room was spacious, clean, had very comfy beds, a comfy sofa, and had easily the nicest bathroom of any of the hotels during our trip. The shower water pressure went almost to jet wash levels which was unbelievably welcome after those long days spent trekking around Kyoto in muggy September heat. Despite being in the middle of busy Gion, the location is down a quiet back street and accordingly there was very little noise from outside at night to detract from a good night's sleep. The AC kept the room nice and cool without much noise as well. All of our interactions with the staff were great. They don't fail to greet you with a smile, and were very helpful on the few occasions we needed assistance with things like booking luggage forwarding. They were also very quick to reply to an email query before our stay which made a strong first impression. There's a pair of coin operated washing machine/dryers on the 2nd floor along with an ice dispenser and microwave. A good selection of travel essentials is available at reception plus a free coffee and juice machine by the front desk. All in all we had a 10/10 stay and I will absolutely look to book a room here again next time I'm in Kyoto.

The room itself was lovely, with private shower and toilet. There’s also a kitchen available for guests. And I also enjoyed the pleasant incense on the first floor :)

Nastanitev 東山の宿 藤屋 je v mestu Kyoto, 13 min hoje od znamenitosti tempelj Kiyomizu-dera in 1,3 km od znamenitosti Gledališče Samurai Kembu Kyoto, ter ponuja brezplačen WiFi v celotni nastanitvi. Linda was keen to show us how the appliances worked, her restaurant recommendations, and the events during our stay. She could not be nicer !

Nastanitev Azukiya se nahaja v mestu Kyoto, 8 min hoje od znamenitosti Tempelj Shoren-in, in ponuja vrt ter pogled na vrt. Staying there was a delight The room looked exactly like on the pictures except it felt bigger and really cosy. The bathroom was perfect, very clean and honestly quite spacious when compared to other accommodations in Japan. It really felt like having a traditional Japanese room but with all the comfort of modern times. We were also worried to be cold coming in November but the place had definitely enough heating to keep the room warm if needed. Breakfast, japanese or western style (still with a Japanese touch) was delicious, very filling and everytime different. The location was overall very nice as the subway station is mere minutes away and Gion area isn't too far while other areas north of Kyoto are also in walkable distance. Kitamura-san was just the cherry on the cake as she was extremely helpful, welcoming and caring. It felt wrong to leave the place.

We loved our stay and especially the kindness of our host Kayoko was extraordinary! Besides the incredible breakfast, we were served every afternoon a nice tea with a sweet note that made you feel extra special! Thank you Kayoko for making this such a special stay in Kyoto for us!

Nastanitev Kyo-Anthu Inn se nahaja v mestu Kyoto, 6 min hoje od znamenitosti tempelj Sanjusangen-do, in ponuja vrt, sobe za nekadilce ter brezplačen WiFi. I really enjoyed my stay here! Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

Nastanitev Kokonoe Machiya na izjemni lokaciji v mestu Kyoto nudi sobe s klimatsko napravo, vrt, brezplačen WiFi in skupni prostor za druženje. My first stay was so wonderful that I had to come back! I cannot recommend Kokonoe Machiya and its amazing host, Toni enough!! Thank you, thank you and I hope to be back again!
