Set in Kyoto, less than 1 km from Gion Shijo Station and a 13-minute walk from Kiyomizu-dera Temple, 東山の宿 藤屋 offers air conditioning. The hostess was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was spacious, with traditional Japanese charm, and it was spotlessly clean. The bathroom had all the essentials you could need. I highly recommend this homestay for a comfortable and memorable stay in Japan.

Azukiya asub 700 meetri kaugusel Shoren-ini templist ja 1,2 km kaugusel Samurai Kembu Kyoto'st. Tubades on konditsioneer ja privaatne vannituba. Lady Cecco, who is the owner of this beautiful 100years ++ old house was/is extremely friendly and helpful and among others an excellent cook! Apart from feeling very welcome, we also enjoyed her Japanese style breakfast, which was very special and delicious. The house is super charming and the tatami smells so good, the futon beds were comfortable and otherwise, in spite of being a historical place, the room was equipped with all possible comforts, i.a. a well-functioning AirCon, which was badly necessary, since our Kyoto visit happened to be during a terrible heatwave after heavy rains (ca. 40°C + unbearably humid). All in all, we enjoyed our stay at Azukiya very much! Arigato goizamazu :)

六根ゲストハウス Rokkon guest house features a hot tub and air-conditioned guest accommodation in the centre of Kyoto, 400 metres from Kyoto International Manga Museum, 1.3 km from Nijo Castle and 1.4 km from... Kayako was the most perfect host and her cooking is divine. We loved our stay and the familial warmth and convenience of Rokkon.

Located in Kyoto, 2.3 km from Nijo Castle and 1.5 km from the centre, 遥華-Haruka House provides air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi, and a garden. I really enjoyed my time here. Haruka and her husband made us feel welcome from the moment we booked our dates, and they even provided helpful instructions on how to get there from our previous location (Nara). Haruka also gave us some nice recommendations and tips on what to do in Kyoto during our short stay. To top it off, they even gave us a ride to our bus stop in our last night. They are wonderful people.

I have been welcomed with a cup of tea and a cooky.They gave me very helpful information and even drove me to the railway station. I regret that I couldn't stay longer. Next time for sure!
