The owners are lovely and my room was comfy and clean. The breakfast was delicious, and they can change it to vegetarian for you. It looks like they’re trying to use natural products wherever they can! I really enjoyed staying here :)

Outdoor play equipment is also available for guests at the accommodation. Very unique mountain top location in traditional Japanese home, but made very comfortable with everything needed for a cozy and relaxing stay. Would highly recommend if looking for an experience off the beaten path. We especially enjoyed warming up in the fire pit, while BBQing a delicious meal and enjoying the relaxing and awesome views from the mountains.

The best with this guesthouse is the awesome placing with stunning nature everywhere and you can rent a bike from the guesthouse and he have good recommendations on where to guy. This is literally paradise on earth with stunning view wherever you go. Also the people in the village are just the nicest, few speak English but they are so friendly and try their best if you do the same.

The property is non-smoking and is located 18 km from Kōchi Station. We rented a car at Kochi Ryoma Airport. The guesthouse was conveniently located near the airport and the freeway, making it easy to access our destination, Dogo Onsen. Initially, I was concerned about parking, but the guesthouse was on a wide road, which is important to know when renting a car in Japan. It was simple to maneuver in and out of the parking spaces located behind the house. The guesthouse was in the town of Noichi, where we enjoyed delicious meals at nearby restaurants. Additionally, its central location between my two other destinations, Kochi-shi and Aki-shi, meant that I didn't have to drive a lot in one day. Our host, Kyoko-san, was incredibly friendly and kind. Since it was the off-season, she gave the three of us two rooms, which allowed for a comfortable stay. I slept well during our time there. Unfortunately, I lost a hubcap from the rental car—it's a long story. On our departure morning, Kyoko-san went out of her way to prepare breakfast for my son and me. After saying our goodbyes, Kyoko-san called to inform us that my son had left his passport and charger behind. She kindly brought them all the way to the airport for us. Overall, I felt that the guesthouse was truly a home away from home.

Takao and Shie’s guesthouse is perfectly equipped for a self-catering stay in a remote rural area about an hour from Kochi city. They are wonderful friendly hosts and the accommodation is lovely. The toilets and bathroom are outside but are very clean and comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it for anyone wanting to disconnect from the city vibe and just relax for a few days. Thank you Takao and Shie and good luck for October :-)

All units have bed linen. Maki the guesthouse owner was super cheerful and friendly during our stay. She even helped us shift our clothes in the washing machine to the dryer when she noticed we were out for dinner and were not yet back. Excellent hospitality and facilities were top notch! 民泊 Noah's Home, a property with a shared lounge, is set in Dekiji, 25 km from Odo Dam Museum, 30 km from Hossho-ji Temple, as well as 30 km from Daizen-ji Temple. To stay with the young couple host was great, picked us up from the train station and dropped us off at the bus station each day to do our excursions. Surrounded by farm land & greenery! Are dinner together and chatted in the evenings. Noah the dog is very cute too 😁

Sukumoゲストハウス 和NAGOMI is a recently renovated guest house in Sukumo, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. It is set 4.1 km from Sukumo City History Museum and provides a 24-hour front desk. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Hiroshi-san was an amazing host! :D He made sure we had everything we need and felt comfortable when we arrived, then very generously made dinner for us as well. He's very warm and a great conversationalist with amazing humour, talking with him was probably what I enjoyed the most about our stay. Hosting aside, the place was very clean and well prepared. It's a Japanese style house that had some really pretty wooden decor. (I do really enjoy old furniture :D) The room was comfortable and warm, he had towels and other amenities prepared as well. We were also invited to his cafe for breakfast the next day, which turned out to be lovely! I'd definitely recommend staying here especially if you like meeting new people. Hiroshi-san seem like he really enjoyed hosting and would make sure you have the best time you can there.
