Comfortable Accommodations: Onsen Guest House Tsutaya in Hakone offers comfortable rooms with private bathrooms, air conditioning, and mountain views. Very nice hostel!!! It offers confort, nice common areas, very nice indoor and outside onsen. Staff is really kind, dorms are very clean. I would totally stay here again if I visit Japan again. totally recommended

What an amazing accommodation! Beautiful traditional room. A place to relax and recharge. Futon beds were super comfortable, probably the best sleep I’ve got in a while. The Japanese garden was absolutely stunning. You can see that there is a lot of thought and attention put into the interior and exterior design. We opted for the Japanese breakfast and it was incredible. Delicious and well presented meal that can be enjoyed while looking at the beautiful garden. Everyone was super friendly and welcoming. Definitely a recommendation from us 10/10.

Open from August 2017, Guest House Wagokoro offers a modern Japanese-style accommodation an 8-minute stroll away from JR Nippori Station. Each room comes with an en suite bathroom and toilet. Perfect location, this region feels so authentic, not crowded with tourist and several things to see within walk distance. also, Nippori station is super close making it easy to access different regions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room has a great size!

The owner of the property is proactive, asking us about our arrival time. We were given duck cookies (a delicacy of kamakura) and two luggage tags as a gift. We got here easily via train. It’s also a stone throw’s away from the beach and the Buddha. The best part of staying here is being able to do laundry for free. We had been travelling for 2 weeks before coming to Kamakura so we had a mountain of laundry. Water pressure in the shower is also 10/10.

I only stayed for one night to be close to Nokogiri Mt. for hiking, but Ken-ken was extremely helpful and generous while I was there. One of my favorite memories from my two week trip to Japan will be my stay in this little town of Hota, much thanks to Ken-ken's hospitality and guidance for places to visit and eat at while I stayed. He recommended the cutest izakaya when I told him I was looking for dinner and a few beers called Rest Inn Wassup! The owner and cook there were so nice, and we had a good time visiting even though we were mostly speaking through Google Translate. Please don't be afraid to visit this little town if you want to see some authentic Japanese small-town life and great hiking. I was able to get around fairly easily, but be aware the public transportation is limited and it can get dark in the neighborhood at night. Rest assured, though, if you stay with Ken-ken, he will make your stay comfortable and worthwhile!

We stayed just one night at Hiro's place and we had an amazing experience! The house is lovely in a very traditional Japanese style, and there's a small private onsen too! Hiro really made us feel welcome in his home, and greeted us with lots of kindness. The garden has a lovely pond and the little dog is so sweet! I really recommend Hiro place for an authentic and lovely experience in Japan. Hope we can come back again in the future. Thank you Hiro!

I have stayed in many guesthouses before, and this is one of the shared houses I like the most. It is very clean and comfortable. The common space is also cozy. It is very close to Utsunomiya Station and just a 2-minute walk to the best gyoza restaurant in Utsunomiya. The host is very nice. If I visit Utsunomiya again, I will definitely stay at this guesthouse. Highly recommended!
