Only some rooms include a balcony, tatami floors, and free toiletries. The hotel was a very nice surprise when we visited Japan. The shared bathroom was a unique experience, the traditional room was worth the visit and the hotel offered a very relaxing onsen. It is in a nice location (near bus stations, among trees), with very friendly and helpful staff.

The private onsen was a great way to relax and warm up since we were there in Feb. The location seemed a little far at first because it is a 15 min walk (or short bus) from Gora Station but it ended up being perfect. The hotel is near 4 bus lines so actually allowed us to get around to our hiking destinations, odowara station and the open air museum easily.

I had a wonderfull stay, the host is extremely nice, the hostel is like a little paradise. Close to the beach, enoshima Island and the train station.

They offered great recommendations and helped me discover amazing spots in Kamakura, both for sightseeing and working remotely. Such a warm and lovely couple!

Situated 8.5 km from Hakone-Yumoto Station, Irori Guest House Tenmaku offers 1-star accommodation in Hakone and has a bar. This guest house features free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. The guest house features family rooms. The group meal was excellent. Good food and nice to meet people. In the morning Saki made us the most delicious coffee roasted by the owner. There is also a cute coffee shop in a trailer just outside. The location is excellent. Close to the train and beside the open air gallery. The staff were all great but Saki really went over and above to help us plan our days and gave great recommendations for restaurants. We had a great stay.

The rooms are fitted with a private bathroom with a bath and bidet, with slippers and free toiletries provided. The people who run it were very kind and helpful. It was perfectly clean and comfortable. The location was central for everything that we wanted to do in Hakone. I would stay there again with no hesitation.

It is located within Fuji-Hakone National Park, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest Senkyoro Mae bus stop. Staying at this ryokan in Hakone felt like coming home. The room was spacious with a stunning view I truly felt like I was living the Japanese dream. The futons were incredibly comfortable, and the fresh mountain air made everything feel even more special. Lisa and her brother are amazing hosts. They went above and beyond even helping us book a restaurant in another city when we were struggling. Their kindness and sincerity really touched us. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip. I can’t recommend it enough.
