Situated in the heart of York, The Bar Convent Guest House is only a 15-minute minute walk from the city centre and just over 300 metres from York Railway Station. Nice location right outside the city walls with about a 10 minute walk to the city centre, staff were very helpful and it was very silent which I appreciated a lot. There was also access to a lovely pantry with most necessities one could need. All in all I had a great stay.

Just 10 minutes' travel by bus from York Railway Station, Ascot House is a 15-minute walk from York Minster. It offers award-winning breakfasts, elegant bedrooms, free WiFi, and free parking. A boutique hotel in the heart of York just a 10-minute walk from York Minster. The vinyl record player in the room was a true gem. The reception area had a huge display of great records which added such a special touch. Also the dollhouse which covered coffee, tea and mugs was really nice. Staff and location just superb to explore this cute town without a car.
