The stay at the accommodation was absolutely perfect. Very quiet location with a picturesque view of the mountains, extremely friendly hosts, and modern yet rustic-style rooms. We have enjoyed our stay at Astrit’s villa a lot. We stayed in one of the three villas having a wonderful view over the valley. The location is around 2kms higher from the village center, therefore very calm, and that is exactly what we have been looking for. It is not so easy to find the right turn to the villas, it is maybe 500 metres from the paved road on a dirt track. At first glance the road looks bad, but we managed with a simple Skoda Fabia as well, so you will as well. Astrit and his son were both very helpful, providing tips and recommendations what to do. The owner really seemed like a genuinely good guy. He speaks perfect English and is local. The breakfast was also great, we highly recommend, for 6 euros only. The villa had all we need, good wifi, comfortable beds. Would definitely come back again. Be aware, only cash is accepted, but euros/leks are both fine.

Staying at Theth Guesthouse Freskia felt like stepping into another world, surrounded by breathtaking mountains in every direction. The guesthouse is just a short 7-minute drive from the main valley, perfectly located for all the famous hikes in the area. Breakfast was wonderful, full of homemade ingredients, and their petulas were hands down the best we had in all of Albania. The family running the place are incredibly kind and welcoming, and their hospitality made our stay special. They also serve dinner for 13 euros per person, which is a fantastic deal for Theth, plenty of traditional dishes, all delicious. Our room was a bit cold at night, but they gave us extra duvets that kept us perfectly warm and cozy. We truly loved our stay here. It’s a peaceful, authentic mountain experience, support this lovely family business!

What an amazing experience!! Marash and Albina were such kind and generous hosts, and were quite communicative despite the language barrier. Definitely have breakfast and dinners at the property/farm; the food is plentiful, fresh, delicious (especially the dairy from their cow and my boyfriend loved the breakfast petulla!). The homemade wine was delicious as well. The view from the garden and our room was simply amazing. We loved how the mountains changed depending on time of day and lighting. The room itself was rustic and simple, but comfortable. Thank you Marash and Albina, as well as Fred and Martina. And special shout-out to Sweety, the friendliest cat I’ve ever met!!! Warning: It is definitely a challenge to find and get to the property from Theth main village- either a 40 minute hike or 15 minute bumpy drive (IF you have a 4x4 car!!) but it’s worth it for the draw dropping views and peace and quiet.
