The friendly host was exceptionally kind and helpful. The property is located in the calm and cosy traditional Japanese neighbourhood with an access to the beach within mins. The sunrise from the nearby wharf was superb and is worth getting up early.

The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly our host, who guided us to a stunning spot where we could marvel at the cherry blossoms in full bloom. This is a beautifully preserved old house, yet equipped with modern air conditioning, bathroom, and kitchen facilities. The space is clean, spacious, and comfortable, with a garden and a traditional storehouse. It’s not suitable for a rushed one-night stay — ideally, you should spend 2 to 3 days here to truly experience the architecture and lifestyle of the old house. The building itself is of historical value, and its previous owners have interesting stories. Simply put, you can think of this place as a small museum. Additionally, Murata Town, where it’s located, is also well worth a visit.
