- Location: Beautiful, clean, and well maintained venue RIGHT on the beach! Porch with comfortable chairs and tables overlooking the ocean provides a perfect hang-out area for reading or just relaxing. Hop-on/hop-off bus stop right in front. A couple of restaurants within walking distance - Hospitality: Helen and Dave were AWESOME. Could not do enough! Very kind and helpful. FONTs of local information and knowledge. Also, just nice people... - Room #2: VERY comfortable, nicely decorated with lots of "amenities" including tea/coffee set up, fridge, TV, etc. Shower with lots of hot water and excellent water pressure. PLUS fabulous views. Slept with the window slightly open to catch the marvelous ocean breeze all night. PEREFECT. - Breakfast: Full classic English Breakfast available with all the fixin's BUT leverage "order sheet" to customize breakfast options. So many options! All cooked to order and served steaming hot. Plus the breakfast room was just lovely with a fabulous view of the ocean and lots of natural light.

The perfect place to rest. Peaceful, clean, has everything you need. Great location 5 min walk from the centre and the sea. I escaped the business in London to relax a bit, and this place really helped me to do so. The owner is very kind and tried to meet all my needs. You also have included a nice breakfast with different options. I went for the English breakfast and was freshly prepared at the moment. The single room on the top had a lovely compfy bed, a nice and clean bathroom, and 2 windows which is not obvious for smaller rooms like a single. There is also outside space where you can relax, have a drink. I am really happy with the whole experience, will come back. Shanklin is a beautiful town, and you can easily go anywhere from there with buses if you don't have a car like me. One of the bus stops (the coaster) it is just in front of the guest house.
