I liked how clean everything around us was. The hotel looks nice and cozy from the outside and inside. Check in and check out was simple and easily understandable.

I only stayed one night at the Elgano guesthouse and despite arriving unannounced early in the morning was welcomed very warmly by the staff, who offered me to check in earlier (which I declined since I had an appointment). They were also kind enough to keep my luggage until I came to check-in later that day. The room itself was beautiful, very clean, with a spacious bathroom and enough space to store my belongings. The guesthouse does not have an elevator which makes it less suitable for people with impaired mobility. To everyone else I would highly recommend a stay!

I liked the fact there was a pin code to enter the guesthouse and the room. Didn't have to carry keys. And also it felt like I was in my own place cos I could move in and out anytime and the reception was in another room so I didn't come face to face contact with the staff much. It was great for someone who was on the move a lot. I just needed some place to sleep for the night, keep my things in, have a wash. They also had a microwave in the common area so could heat food in there.

Situated 300 metres from Cardiff Castle, this guest house is a 10-minute walk along the river from the bus and train stations.
