The location is perfect! 10 mins walk from the train station and pretty much more of straight road. The great thing is that the room is on ground floor at the courtyard so no need to carry my luggages up the stairs. Room is of a good size. Shower is good and bed is very comfy. Our host Jean-Paul is such a lovely man, giving us tips to go to for food without paying tourist price. We paid for breakfast as we realised it is not easy to get got brekky in France and JP cooked omelette for us! Fruit salad is freshly made as well and we had a big cup of lovely coffee too, in addition to orange juice.

The hotel is in a quiet, unexceptional street, but when you enter the property it is magical. There is a beautiful garden with a pool, the accommodation is beautifully furnished in a contemporary way, and the owners are very engaging and helpful. It felt like visiting a family rather than staying at a hotel. Because of its small size we had the opportunity to meet other guests which added to the trip. The old city is a less than a 10 minute walk. Highly recommended!

We loved out short stay with Mattieu and Caroline. They were the most welcoming and helpful hosts we have had on our trip so far. Our room was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed and more. It was tastefully decorated, incredibly clean, and beautifully presented. We only stayed one night in Avignon as a stop on the way to Paris, but we wished we had stayed longer. Such a charming and unique village with lots of history, great shops, and a wide range of restaurants—we were so pleasantly surprised! The apartment was in a great location too. We highly recommend staying at La Maison Grivolas and be sure to take them up on their offer for breakfast, it was memorable.

Extremely friendly and personable host. Lovely personal touches, especially to the breakfast, including home made and delicious cake, yoghurt, fresh fruit smoothie, honey and grapes from the garden.

The premises were exactly what embodies French flair and European romanticism. It was very beautiful especially the garden area. The host Olivier was superb in making us feel good right at home with his charm, wit, knowledge and also went out of his way to make sure we got to our train safely and quickly on the day of our departure.
