What an amazing place!!! The tents were beautifully appointed, so luxurious. We had a front tent overlooking the river and were able to see lots of game at the river & around our tent, including Zebra, Impala, a Hyena, Bush Buck & Vervet Monkeys. The staff were wonderful, so attentive & helpful. Special shout-out to Aubrey who was on duty overnight, kept us safe & shared some stories with us. This was the absolute highlight of our stay in Kruger, we will definately stay again.

Guests will have a special experience as the tent offers a pool with a view. One of the best camps we’ve ever been. Done previously many safaris , so I can fairly compare. This place is not about artificial ( and sometimes stupid) over-luxury ; it goes straight to the point of what a great bush camp should be . Tents are very comfy, new and clean , food is above expectations, perfect location. But what makes this place very special is the staff .. they are all incredibly good and make you feel that managing and running a camp in the bush seems the easiest thing in the world ( and we know it is not)… they really deserve a “Bravo!” Safari to kruger ( 15 minutes to reach the gate) included in the rates , and also very close to Sabi sands; they arrange safari there ( try at least once) for a small extra cost . With all this next to your camp, you’ll have the chance to spot the big five and many more animals in very few days. Overall a wonderful stay for newbie and also for weathered safari guys . price/quality ratio 10 on 10… amazing ! Thank you all guys, and see you very soon again!

The tent features air conditioning, a private entrance, a terrace with garden views as well as a private bathroom boasting a bath. Amazing tents, super comfortable beds and we absolutely loved the outdoor shower(s)! Staff is super friendly! The chef cooked an extra meal for me because of my lactose intolerance, thank you so much for that! By the way the food was delicious! The way to get to the the camp is a bit of an experience with a small car but still possible. You will receive a warm welcome! We didn't expect a room service on our departure day.

I loved that the Camp is exposed to nature - When we arrived there was an elephant at the pool enjoying the water there. Also the tent is nice and spacious, and you feel safe.

Situated in Manyeleti Game Reserve, Buffelshoek Tented Camp offers a garden and barbecue. Sabi Sand Game Reserve is 34 km away. Free private parking is available on site. I had such a great time at Buffelshoek Tented Camp. The location, the food and the staff were all amazing. The game drives were exceptional too, I got to see lions, elephants, giraffes, jackals, rhinos, etc... even a leopard! The guide is an experienced off-road driver who gets you very close to the animals and allows plenty of time to take pictures. He tracked down the leopard and found it resting on a tree. In the camp, they have wifi in the lobby of the main tent and several adapters to charge devices during the day or overnight. Even though it rained often when I was there, I didn't notice any mosquitoes. I didn't stay at Kruger national park, but I was told by other visitors at Buffelshoek that a big advantage to stay in Manyeleti rather than Kruger is that during game drives you can follow animals off the track, which you cannot do at Kruger. We'd never have seen the leopard that way. You'll get to see a large variety of animals during game drives, my favorite one was big and strong, walks slowly but steadily and can eradicate trees when angry. It also runs on diesel :-) (it's the Land Rover)
