Glamping Sites in Kalpitiya

Amazing destination for kite holidays. We loved staying at the camp, really enjoyed the fact that we had all our meals at one big table with the other guests, so easy to meet new people that share the same passion for kite surfing. Also hard to beat the staffs friendliness and costumer service, absolutely 5star outstanding. Main Kitesurfing spot (Lagoon) is as well great, though always gusty winds (+10kn gusts to base wind). Perfect for beginners. If you're a better kiter though, you'll definitely want to go on the kite trips. The trip spots are much nicer, but can add up in quite an additional budget (25-45EUR/trip).

Harshan will surely remain one of my most beautiful encounters in Sri Lanka. With his finnish friend, Inna, we remade the world around squid in coconut milk From the garden/grilled fish (bought together not far from the fishermen) and good local béer! recommend these paratas for breakfast. Hotel was right on the beach. We could swim in the pool and in the sea. Lovely comfortable and spacious room. Beautifully decorated. Indoor and outdoor showers were great. Food was exceptional in fact up with the best we've ever had. Service and staff were amazing, so friendly and helpful. Dolphin trip was fun and exhilarating even though we didn't see any dolphins due to bad weather.

The location is incredible right next to the river and the territory is very clean. We slept on a tree house and it was really cosy with nature sounds. We stayed two nights and did a full day safari that was organized by a host. In the early morning we took a walk around the village and enjoyed local hospitality. Definitely recommend this hidden gem!
