The cherry on the cake is that the apartment is exactly in the jungle and if you wake up early you can see a lot of animals. they have a frog sanctuary inside the complex and organize night tour. the staff was so good and Ector the waiter at the restaurant made our meals very special. i forgot to mention that there are so many excursions and things to do just 5 minutes away!

Our hosts were lovely, including the furry four-legged one. They had plenty of suggestions for dinner. He in particular was a fountain of knowledge about the area and the country's history. They're willing to help arrange rental cars, guided excursions, etc. Next time we come to Costa Rica we'll stay here on our initial arrival vs just before leaving!

Absolutely beautiful spot in the rainforest close enough to the tourist activities, but distant enough for a complete disconnect. The view of the Arenal Volcano from our room was stunning. Facilities made of exquisite woodwork. Lots to see. Great pool area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Chato Arenal Lodge has a nice breakfast with fresh fruits and an amazing view from the restaurant. The room was super clean and the beds were very comfortable, I loved that the hotel is at a walking distance from La Fortuna waterfalls and a five minutes drive from the downtown where you can have access to restaurants, cafes and the hot springs. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, Esteban was very helpful and shared with me some beautiful location that I can visit. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be staying at Chato Arenal on my next visit to Costa Rica.
