Aquatio Cave Luxury Hotel & SPA is situated inside the Matera Sassi UNESCO World Heritage site. Featuring a on-site restaurant and free WiFi, the hotel is located 400 metres from MUSMA Museum. This is one of the most unique hotels we have ever stayed in - I would highly recommend Aquatio. You are within 5 minutes walking distance to pretty much anything in Matera and 2-3 minutes walk to the fabulous restaurant Francesca (we dined there twice it was so fantastic). We also used the spa to get a couples massage and my partner used the water therapies. The front desk staff were fantastic before and during our stay - they really helped us to arrange parking, the shuttle to and from the hotel to our parking spot and other requests we had like booking restaurants for us. A true concierge experience! You will thoroughly enjoy your stay. We will be back!

Palazzo Gattini is an excellent choice for a stay in Matera. Located at the heart of the old town, in the main Cathedral Square, it is the best place to explore the exquisite city of Matera. Staff is extremely attentive, our room was excellent with a view directly to the Piazza del Duomo (Cathedral Square). Its price is what you would expect from a five-star hotel, but the quality is there. If you can indulge yourself for an unforgettable stay, look no further.

Historic, unique beautiful details and grounds. Each room was unique. The food was exceptional and staff so accommodating. We were in town for a family reunion in nearby Anzi. We felt as if we were staying with family. The pictures online don’t do it justice. This place is a gem! We will definitely be back.

Casa Grotta nei Sassi je 39 km daleko. just amazing, the building and garden itself but certainly also the staff; after half an hour you feel at home and as if you know them and they know you; service with a smile; also the open kitchen and teh weekly common bbq is a super great idea ! and they have the best toilet paper meaning they go into detail and comfort :)
