Mike sam and family were extremely welcoming in their home, and you could tell they put genuine effort into making our stay comfortable and memorable. The tree house is awesome with a great view, the functional toilet is a luxury. Would happily stay for much longer in this beautiful part of Tanna. The hotel is only a couple of minutes away from the airport which is super convenient. I booked tours separately but they also offered these directly which can get you to all the key locations around the island.

Robort and his family were incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me in arranging all my trips, including how to get to the treehouse, transportation to the airport, booking flight tickets, visiting the volcano, and even took me to the celebration. When I didn’t have enough cash to buy a ticket, Robort kindly helped me cover 600 Vatu—I’m truly grateful for that. His daughters were also adorable and guided me through the local tribal culture. They were all very patient. The condition of the treehouse was better than I expected. While it’s inevitable to see some small bugs, I didn’t encounter any rats. The treehouse is located right opposite the entrance to the volcano, just a two-minute walk to the ticket office—very convenient.

The hospitality of Philip, Susan and their sons was absolutely incredible. They were so gracious with their time without being over bearing on your privacy. This is the spot to stay when checking out the volcano side of Tanna. You will have everything you need to see the vanuatu culture from the perfect location. For reasonable rates, the hosts will take care of any other logistic you need. -Set up the 2 hour car ride to and from the airport. -Local recipe dinners by Susan and she’s a great cook. I believe they offered lunch as well but I was going on these great adventures they offer to guide you through: -A local village that will show you dances and rituals of their indigenous culture -A hot spring heated river that flows into the ocean overlooking the volcano -And of course, the hike to the rim of the volcano. I had so much time to chat with the family and they are all so kind. I don’t leave reviews, I was very compelled on this one. Stay in this treehouse. Friendly reminder to grab cash and break it down in Port Vila or at the market in Tanna.
