“The location is dream-like; three bungalows set on an isolated, beautiful beach backed by forest and mangrove, pounded by waves- fall asleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up in the night to see a turtle laying eggs on the shore. Come here if you want to get away from it all and don't expect masses of things to do and amenities. The bungalows are comfortable and clean; there is no hot water and limited electricity. Nobody speaks English so come with some Portuguese. If you want food (and Ney is an excellent cook) then order in advance- i.e. at breakfast time. Don't expect things to run on time, make sure you plan transport in advance and maybe bring a little food with you. This is a place to be surrounded by nature, kick back and relax. It is truly paradise if you can get in the right frame of mind to enjoy it.”

“This is an upmarket, luxury hotel, which is worth the extra money. We stayed just two nights and loved: the tranquility, the gardens, our room and bathroom (extra-comfy bed), the beach, the friendly and approachable staff, and the live music at dinner (a band of three guitarists). We also appreciated small things like the fact that you could have white wine by the glass (unusual in this country), and the bench on the lawn near our room - far enough away from the lighting so that it wasn't too dark, but dark enough to see the stars. Probably our best memory is sitting there after dinner with a glass of wine, just listening to the sounds and looking at the stars - very romantic!”
