My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay here. Staff were really great and helped us a lot. We got shown different rooms that we got to chose from when we arrived and the guy at the desk organised a taxi driver for us and he drove us around for our whole time in Samarkand, which was great as Yandex Taxi isn't operating in the city yet. Taxi driver was always 10 minutes away whenever we called him and really nice guy, he also got us a driver to take us back to Tashkent. Staff could speak some English which was great for me as my Russian is low intermediate and I don't speak Uzbek, so between Russian and English communication was easy. My girl is from Uzbekistan but it was the first time either of us was in Samarkand and we really enjoyed our time here.”

She always has the nice smile on her face and tried her best to communicate with us. She just started learning English but she is doing very well. As my friend said, she is a born-to-be host with this talented communicating skills. With the always well prepared sweets and nuts and tea on the dining table, you will always feel to be at home. The breakfast is well made. Fried egg, sausages , local rice and smashed potatoes waked us up in an international way. Uzbekistan style salad is always our favorite and best vitamin source. Camila got a chance to know my friend loves comca and surprised us with the hot comca the next morning as a special dish. She is a mother of 3 boys and she is capable of taking good care of all things. She helped us call a one day tour driver and we both loved this well manned and honest man. The last day I left my mobile phone on a taxi when we headed to the train station. I was too desperate to have the thought that I could have my phone back. We were getting assistance from the warm heated staff at train station where we get in touch with Camila and we got the promise that I could get my phone back. What we could do is getting on the train as we had planned to our next destination Bukhara and Camila would find a taxi driver who would take a ride to bukhara and send my phone straight to my hotel. When I got my phone the second morning of our stay at bukhara, I was deeply touched and was impressed by the people here who are always ready to help. I would definitely stay at Uyut if I came again.”

I consider him a friend now. Never experienced better customer service anywhere else. Also Soleh and Shakhnoza were the sweetest receptionists, nothing was too much trouble. Registan square is one minute walk and you can actually see the complex from the hotel’s front door. When I’ll come back to Samarkand (I know I will) this is where I’ll stay. Thank you so so much.”

  “This hostel is new and really well thought out and presented. It is in a fantastic location, just along from Registan Square, and the bus (#3 or #73) to the train station leaves not far from the front door. There is an ATM just up and over the road and a couple of markets close by. It’s a shoes off hostel and slippers are provided if you don’t have your own. The beds have privacy curtains and each bed has a power socket and is assigned a locker and a lockable drawer. The kitchen is compact and well-organized. WiFi worked really well. Staff (Sergey and Davlat) are friendly and helpful and have very good English. This is the best find in Samarkand.”

  “The owner, Nadir, is so friendly and welcoming. We got a very early train and went to drop our bags off and he welcomed us with tea and snacks which were very well received after such an early start! The decor is beautiful with a gorgeous shared lounge area which is very tastefully decorated. The kitchen and bathroom are very modern and the breakfast is incredible! Freshly baked bread, pancakes, omelettes...so delicious and cooked fresh in front of you. It was also great to learn more about Uzbekistan from Nadir as we had not had the opportunity to speak to many English speakers during the rest of our trip- a very interesting and highly educated man! The location was also great- lovely and quiet, yet just a short walk from lots of delicious restaurants and coffee shops and still in walking distance from the tourist sights.”
