  “There were 4 of us American ladies sharing a room. We didn't expect it to be as modern as America, but liked the simplicity. Our purpose in El Salvador was to attend a wedding, so we mainly used the hotel for an overnight place. Every morning we ate our breakfast at a little comedor just down the street on the same block as the hotel. I was surprised at the gracious, personalized hospitality offered to us by the hotel staff and the folks who cooked our breakfast every morning! One evening the gentleman even had delicious home-baked brownies and fresh coffee waiting for us when we arrived at the hotel! Also when they realized there were 4 ladies using 3 beds (2 double beds and 1 single) they made quite a fuss and quickly brought in a separate cot for the 4th lady! Another feature we really wanted was private, gated parking --which they had. The air cond. was cold, and the shower was warm ...after you learned how to use it. The wider the flow, the cooler the shower. Reduce the flow and it will be nice and warm. As for cleanliness, every bed was freshly and completely changed every day. The pillows were pretty flat but the mattress itself was reasonably comfortable. We had expected this. We also expected that no washcloths would be provided, which was also the case. But there were fresh towels and soap provided every day.”

  “We had a beautiful stay in Plaza Antigua. The house is a beautiful colonial building and the rooms are very spacious. The patio is very nice to sit in and sunny during the day. The hospitality of the owner Victor is outstanding. He is very helpful with giving directions of where to go. And he did not hesitate to bring me to the hospital when I had an allergic reaction. He took care very well of me and he picked me up after the treatment. Victor is a nice and welcoming person and so is his Plaza Antigua.”
