We went surfing, diving, snorkelling and kayaking and equipment hire and surf lessons were great value for money. The food was fresh and delicious. Plus the location is amazing and right on the beach - what more could you ask for?!”

• Dream Inn @ Thulusdhoo is set just 200 metres away from the white sandy beach. It houses a restaurant and offers free Wi-Fi access at all public areas.

  “Dream Inn was exactly as it sounds.. A dream! The staff were beyond excellent.. They were terrifically accommodating! I am celiac and they were very great about keeping gluten far from my food :) the bed was so cozy.. I slept a solid ten hours nightly!! The beaches are so beautiful and very near by. The surf is equal distance, maybe just a three minute walk to one of the best and most consistent waves in the Maldives! Snorkeling and diving just off the island was magnificent.. We saw baby Sharks, eagle Rays and a myriad of fish and coral! If I could rate Dream Inn higher than a ten I certainly would! Definitely the best place to stay on Thulusdhoo!!”

  “We are a family with three kids aged 7, 10 and 13 that stayed at Samura for five days at the start of May. Giacomo is the most perfect host you can imagine, we felt like we landed in a small 5 star hotel, with the good food and the friendly and very service oriented staff. His guesthouse is a little gem directly on the beach (the nicest one on the island!), beautifully decorated, with very comfortable beds. We especially liked the great excursions, we went to a sandbank and a coral garden and both were great for snorkeling, we saw many fish and a turtle. When you are in Thulusdhoo during the surfing season you should not miss out to walk over to Cokes surfing point to take a look at the spectacular surfing scene. Thank you Giacomo, Nur, Sharif and the cooking Chef for the great holidays we had at Samura!”

  “It was the best vacation! Friendliest personal I've ever saw, pretty good restaurant (definitely the best on the island), shisha bar, comfortable rooms, 2 steps to the main beach. Casadana guest house has exceeded all of our expectations for sure! Lovely owners were maintaining us all over the staying, for free picked up us from the airport on a speed boat and one day present us wonderful trip to the neighbor island with snorkeling, fishing, lunch, and watching dolphins. Thank them very much!”

  Located in Thulusdhoo, 27 km from Male City, Kahanbu Ocean View features a barbecue and water sports facilities. Rooms are equipped with a private bathroom fitted with a bath or shower.

  “We loved this charming guesthouse! Guilia, Naim and Chika really made this feel like home. There was only 3-4 rooms, and we were the onely guests for a part of our stay. Guilia has really made a little piece of paradise here. The cool coral sand, the palmtrees, hamocks and jolies (?, maldivian layed back benches). Your own sun chairs and umbrellas att the beach in front of the guesthouse (bikini beach). Guests from the big hotel nextdoors tried to use the facilities of the guesthouse all of the time, because it was so much nicer in Giulias little corner. You eat together at a big outdoor table on the sand, and Naim made lovely tuna pasta, curry, fish, applecake or whatever you liked. We also had a lovely christmas dinner here, italian style (thank you so much Giulia!). We made a trip to Chicken island, (destert island) which is really near. We had the most wonerful day there, the beach was magic and we had it almost for ourselves. The day ended with us playing beachvolley with Giulia and Chika in the sunset, before taking the boat back. We went on two snorkeling tours with Chika (and Giulia), both lovely. We saw turtles, rays, dolphines (from the boat), shark and hundereds of different kinds of colorful fish. These trips (just like the one to Chicken island) was very affordable, we later saw trips to the same places for three times the price (or much more if you are at a resort). And we felt very safe in Chikas company. They also took the time to take us to a spot in the sea that felt like a gigantic swimingpool right in the middle of the ocean, lovely sand and turquose water. Paradise! It was sad to leave, and everyone went to see us of at the ferry. Thank you so much Guilia, Chika and Naim for all the lovely memories we bring home!”
