  “This is a business hotel and should be rated as such. Booked a Superior Double room was given a big corner room. In fact the size meant that the a/c struggled a bit, but it was just OK. The furnishings were a bit plastic but everything worked. We arrived quite late and needed to eat so ordered up a couple of dishes in the restaurant and these tuned up to be remarkably well put together. The Chinese food had a simplicity, emphasis on correctly cooked vegetables and lack of gloopiness compared to similar dishes in Europe that was quite refreshing. We booked a car to take up around the key sights in the town and then onto Thanbyuzayat and Setse beach. The same car also took us back the Yangon the next day. The hotel looks right out on to the river, great sunset if you get lucky.”

  “What a great place. From the moment we walked in, we fell home. The staff was super helpful to accommodate us. First off, they manage to change our room for one with a bigger bed at the last minute. The manager and his staff also helped plan our 2nd day at Mawlamyine which was awesome. They also gave us a late checkout at ... 6pm! (Wow!). Finally, the manager himself brought us to the bus station. Definitely a great value and would recommend anytime! Cheers!”

The rooms were spotless. There was good double glazing in the windows so it was very quiet in our room.The breakfast was great! The restaurant food was very nice. We ate from the Mon menu and enjoyed all of the dishes we tried. This felt like a very classy hotel.”

  “I stayed one night here. The host gave me many informations about this town and Myanmar. He is very thoughtful. He noticed that I don’t wear anything to protect myself from the sun and the heat, he found me an umbrella and reminded me to use it when I went out. Also took me to the bus company to buy the ticket to Mandalay. Helped me to tell the drivers to drop me at the bus station to Bagan after arriving Mandalay. As for the facilities in hostel, they are great! The bed is comfy with full privacy, AC is powerful, WiFi is fast, shower rooms are clean! It’s not a big hostel but with everything I needed. Highly recommended!”

We spent the whole time in our room and the facilities got us through while we rested. We were checked how we were feeling on the rare occasion we did venture out of our room. Thank you 😊”
