“This is a great hotel located along the River Mekong with an unbelievable price of $40. The enormous and very clean room included very comfortable 2 queen size beds and 2 lounge chairs, very spacious wardrobes and a balcony with a fantastic view overlooking the city and part of the River. The bathroom was very large and well designed with a separate bath and shower. All facilities worked well from hot and cold running water to the centralized air conditioning system. All the front reception staff spoke excellent English and were friendly and helpful about sights in the city and region. A delicious buffet breakfast with choice of freshly cooked eggs was included in the price. I highly recommend this hotel with its very high standard of comfort and service at such an unbelievable price. Kampong Cham is a lovely city to visit, the cleanest in my extensive travels through Cambodia. You can enjoy a walk along the lovely river promenade and meander through the very clean streets which still retain some beautiful old French style buildings. There are quite a few restaurants along the river to enjoy reasonable priced and delicious meals. Hiring a bicycle to cross the bamboo bridge to Ko Paen Island is unique and fun and also to tour the local village. I thoroughly recommend a trip (tuk tuk in dry season, boat in the wet season) to see Wat Maha Leap, one of the most beautiful and last remaining wood pagodas in Cambodia. The trip is so scenic through quaint villages to see real life, from carts being hauled by cows and horses, cotton weaving, drying corn and cucumbers, incense stick making, harvesting tobacco and corn.”

“This place is a really comfortable and clean. It is relatively basic but it is extremely clean and in a beautiful location. I feel that the charm of this location would be lost if you tried to stay in the luxury looking place that has been built here recently. The staff are lovely and the cleanliness is exceptional. The double and partner rooms come without or with air-conditioning for a difference of 5 dollars ($10/$15). Either way, for a room that can hold two people it is pretty minuscule.”

“The town is pretty small and you can go around it in one day. This place is in front of the Mekong river, good view, good place where eat a good food and relax. The staff is really kind and helpful. Rooms are clean and good. I reccomend to go here!”

“The owner is ever so friendly and welcoming, to the point where he helped me wash my muddy shoes! Really goes above and beyond to be helpful. The rooms are really nice , exactly as shown in the pictures. The breakfast and lunch are really nice, noodles with vegetables and eggs yum yum! Its a good place to be situated if you can ride a moped, which you can rent from Phalla for 5 dollars a day. He was also willing to rent the bike to us for a trip to kratie and back but we ended up going by bus because it was very rainy. Also arranged by the owner for a very reasonable price. Highly reccomend staying here :)”
