  “The welcome I received and accommodations at Peace Garden Bungalows was over the top! My bungalow (Tucan) is super clean, fully-equipped and updated and perfectly situated. The sounds of the rainforest are amazing and relaxing (read most of the morning in the hammock). And you can hear the surf from the ocean not far away. Marlena is so friendly and helpful with everything local -- she goes above and beyond. I wish i had more time to stay here--highly recommend for all who want an authentic experience with hometown hospitality. ;-)”

  “This place was so cozy and the hosts were very helpful and friendly, answering all our questions and providing advice for things to do and transportation. They've really created a community hub here, and it was a great place to enjoy some dinner and drinks only steps from our room. The food was incredible - we had a curry one night, and then breakfasts each day (included in the rate), local dishes and home cured bacon all cooked on the wood fired stove. Incredible chefs! The location was perfect, 5 min walk to the beach, and a quick tuk tuk or bike ride into Puerto Viejo.”
