They can book taxis to explore the area, and they also have their own travel agency (Visit to Armenia, website soon). If I ever go back to Alaverdi I’ll stay in Palma again, no doubt.”

  “My stay at Armbee farms was amazing & so unexpected. I booked my stay here because I was hoping to be close to the monasteries & have a good view of Alaverdi. I had no idea that I was in for such a treat! From the moment I met Sana & Vigen they were very approachable. Sana & Vigen told me about the history of the bee farm & their future plans for it. It was exciting to hear their story & stay in the chalet, above where some of the bees nest. The chalet is really comforting & warm during winter. The lack of electricity in the room gives you a chance to unwind & get away from your phone/computer. And don't worry, they provide you with nice lights to use in the room & WiFi if you need it. The dining room also has ample outlets for you to charge your devices. I should say my one night stay turned into two nights because Sana & Vigen were amazing hosts. The food Sana prepared was sooo delicious & filling! I read comments about the food being good, & it's really true! Sana was also able to accommodate my diet (no dairy/meat but occasionally fish). To give you an example, Sana made a traditional Armenian green bean dish & mushroom grain salad the first night. On the second night she prepared a hearty fish soup & pureed roasted eggplant and tomato dish. Each dinner included fresh bread, cucumber/tomato salad, honey wine, and fresh juice made from local cherries. In addition to the delicious food & cozy chalet, Sana & Vigen really went above & beyond during my stay. I came unprepared for the weather & Sana offered me socks & sneakers to hike in. Vigen also kindly took me to the monastery & told me how to hike from one of the monasteries to the next. I arrived to the last monastery as night approached and Vigen came & picked me up to return to their farm. Their kindness and generosity really touched me. If you're reading this, I really urge you to stay here!”
