Set in an 1860s building, Hótel Egilsen’s charming rooms have iPod docking stations and views of the Atlantic Ocean. The shared guest lounge has a small library. Perfect nice old hotel, also the staff was really friendly and helpful. We didn't have breakfast, but we still got free coffee and croissants.

Hraunsnef Country Hotel features a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bifrost. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking.

All rooms at the hotel come with a seating area. Every room includes a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower and a hairdryer, while certain rooms will provide you with a kitchen equipped with a dishwasher. The units in Hraunsnef Country Hotel are fitted with a flat-screen TV and slippers. Breakfast was grate, the service at dinner was poor from the non local staff. They were on the phone during service and while between taking orders, no knife or fork at the table, had to ask for water and were not offered any drinks while reading the menu. Local staff where wonderful and everyone was very polite, also the non local staff.

Discover adventure amongst nature’s mighty forces, or spend quality time relaxing – the inspiration is yours for the taking. Experience Iceland’s unique bathing culture in our geothermal pools, called Lindin. We had a fabulously gorgeous dinner at Hotel Husafell, and nice cocktail for happy hour. Dinner was memorable and the scenery is gorgeous. Stayed just one night but had a great stay.

Set in Bolungarvík and only 14 km from Pollurinn Hot Spring, Einarshúsid Guesthouse offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. Featuring luggage storage space, this property also provides guests with a children's playground. The accommodation features a concierge service and bicycle parking for guests. Lovely building that feels like a museum. Don't forget to check out the basement with its antique furniture and radio etc. Comfy beds, good shower, great floorboards and original decor. It wasn't built as a lodge, so noise does penetrate but this is a reflection of the behavior of the guests, nothing else. And no, bed bugs don't exist.
