It’s also convenient to reach from Dublin without a car: take a train to Westport and then the 423 bus (be sure to check the bus schedule in advance; the bus stop is at Mill st). The rooms offer a stunning view of the fjord!

Set in beautiful gardens in the heart of Connemara, the romantic Abbeyglen Castle Hotel has tennis courts, a spa bath and stunning views of Clifden and the Twelve Bens mountains. The place is beautiful, the staff and owners are really kind and helpfull. The diner was reallly good.

The accommodation is right in the heart of town, close to restaurants and pubs, and the drive in and out was superb. The room was more than satisfactory, with a lovely shower. Breakfast was amazing, with the salmon and scrambled eggs being the winner, but the Ful Irish Breakfast was enjoyed by my other significant half.

Buttermilk Lodge offers self-catering apartments 5 minutes' walk from Clifden town centre, you can just park your car and easily walk to town. Really nice accommodation, clean, fresh and varm welcome with refreshments as bread, coffee and milk etc. Really nice equipped for making our own meal morning and evening. Great location with just a 5 min walk to the centre of the city.
