What an amazing place, in a lovely quiet part of Holsted. Dogs are welcome, and we took advantage of the short nature wall by the park that follows a placid, pretty stream. The hotel has an eclectic decor, with themed rooms that are full of character and comfort. And they are incredibly spacious, many of them perfectly suited for families or large parties. We stayed in the Karen Blixen suite and it was incredibly comfortable and restful. The breakfast has no hot food options (beyond boiled eggs at request and a self-serve.waffle-maker), but it had a great selection of musli, jams, bread and cheese, deli cuts, pastries, and more.

Set in an old merchant’s house from the 1850s, Den Gamle Købmandsgaard Bed & Breakfast features individually designed guest rooms. Each is decorated with wooden floors, modern furnishings and contemporary art. All have a flat-screen TV, seating area and private bathroom. Very nice and quaint room in a great location in Ribe. Breakfast is pre-packaged for each guest room and you can prepare on your own schedule. Owner was very friendly and helpful and bed was very comfortable.

This atmospheric hotel is set in a renovated 16th-century building opposite Ribe Cathedral. It offers both old-world charm and modern comforts such as in-room flat-screen TVs and free WiFi access in some rooms. Location cannot be better for sightseeing trip to Ribe. It is a charming old hotel, very well maintained and with a good restaurant.
