The hosts have also been generous on borrowing their bikes to go around the island a couple times. The place is perfect for a simple countryside getaway in two. It’s located within walking distance various sites, restaurants, supermarket, boat station etc. It is very clean, with all the necessary amenities. The shower facility nearby is modern, Clean and easy to access. The island itself is a typical island in the Swedish archipelago, with various pine trees, berry bushes, moss, lichens, deers, lizards, marine birds etc. and the Islanders being good stewards for this.

Towels and bed linen are available in the villa. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. It feels like home away from home. All you need is there - dishwasher, washing machine etc. and everything you need in the kitchen. There are also plenty of sitting areas on the terrace and a lot of lounge chairs. It looks really like in the photos on Booking. The beds are very comfortable and we slept very well. It’s very peaceful but not isolated with the view of the greenery. If you like to walk, you could enjoy a lots of walking on gravel roads in the forest. Wi-Fi works very well. We did some work there and it worked perfectly. If you are not used to the light during the night which is normal during the summer and as the doors to the bedrooms have small windows, we suggest to do what we did and that is to put the aluminum foil on it, so that it’s dark. The owners are very nice and very responsive. There is a nice restaurant Strömma Krog by the water where you can park you car, you just need to tell to the staff at the restaurant on arrival. We ate also at the golf course Fågelbro nearby where they also have dishes of the day and you can enjoy the Swedish food. We recommend this property without any hesitation. We could imagine to come back again. It was a perfect family vacation.

And from Varmdö Maknad are the bus connections really good to Slussen to explore Stockholm. It was not the last Time in Sweden 😀! Don‘t forget to use the parking Disk and if necessary please registrate at the eparking System. Mostly without costs if you‘re registrate you 😉. Otherwise you will get a parking ticket. The villa provides garden views, a terrace, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The Host, the villa as well as the whole property felt like heaven on earth. We truly enjoyed our two nights at the two bedroom villa. From the moment we got picked up and showed around the property with multiple spots to relax to our departure - we felt extremely well taken care of in a clean and wonderful environment!

The stay was truly refreshing and we would love to come back.
