Search cottages in Stewart Island

We made a mistake with the dates and the manager was very kind, putting us in the managers cottage. Above and beyond for service. The pub downstairs was amazing, great atmosphere with the locals and great kiwi beers. Without question, the best fish and chips I have ever had with local blue cod, mussels in wine were outstanding too. I’d go back and stay there again just for that.

So spacious, clean and cosy. Had everything I needed plus extras, like a torch for kiwi walking at night. Bed was very comfortable and warm. Unit was close to everything, and they did a pick up from the ferry. To be fair the hill to the unit was steep, but I loved it , would highly recommend.

Loved Anchorstone. The view, our cabin, the host, the wildlife. Owner provided a little car to get to Oban which was brilliant.

Everything this is a great place to stay if you are coming to Stewart Island ,Lodges are super comfortable well equipped and clean and use of a car for nominal charge was amazing

Loved the location, nestled amongst the bush & great views of Horsehoe Bay, which gave you a sense of true relaxing isolation. The hosts were very friendly & helpful. We were able to rent a car from the property for our entire stay as you do need this to explore the island, get groceries, with ease & it was very reasonable. Loved the outdoor fireplace, great area to have your dinner & drinks, although they could do with an outdoor table & a dry firewood supply.

The owners, Deanne and Chris, were wonderful hosts. The lodge has 3 modern and spacious cottages with view of the harbor. They were well furnished, clean, and our bed was very comfortable. The water pressure of the shower was one of the best ever encountered in a hotel on our many travels. We had 3 dinners at the lodge and they were excellent and beautifully presented.

Very cosy and comfortable accommodation and friendly and helpful staff. There were some cheaper options in Oban, but my lodge was worth the money.
