Our country kitchen and bakery use organic locally sourced ingredients for delicious choice of meals. It was an incredible beyond any expectations experience !! My sons and I were welcomed like family into the community from the first day. We highly recommend this resort as a place to rest for a while, for those who truly wish to connect spiritually and experience what loving community in action means. Our every need was taken care of with kindness and respect and ease. This is a very special, unique place for nature lovers, artists, spiritual seekers and conscious eco friendly travellers. The food is grown in their organic vegetable gardens, the milk we drank was fresh from the cows and the people who run the resort are an extraordinary family. I cannot recommend this place more for those travellers who are seeking the real Nepal, the real spirituality and the real food. Thank you Joy resort, the name says it all !! Every time I have stayed here I choose the tent option because they are the most cosy, luxury and spacious tents I have ever stayed in and the views of the surrounding hills and Kathmandhu are incredible ! I chose this place because it offers a place to rest away from the intensity of the city but not so far away that you can't get into town easily. It really is set in the most perfect location, you can choose if you want to spend the day in nature or visit the temples in Kathmandu centre. The food is exceptional, all home grown and home made and catered to your every need. I cannot recommend this place more, I will definitely come back here when I return to Nepal, it is perfect for travelling alone or with your loved ones.
