Perched above Sri Lanka’s highest village, the views stretch endlessly over rolling farmland, where highland vegetables grow in neat rows, and behind the cabin lies a dense forest, home to local wildlife. Watching the landscape change with the light was magical. The cabin itself is a dream—spacious, spotless, beautifully designed, and instantly inviting. You arrive, take a deep breath, and feel at home. Everything is well-maintained, and you can tell that a lot of thought has gone into every detail. What really stood out was the hospitality. Not only were we looked after with great care, but even our guide/driver was well accommodated. The owner was always there with a smile, ready to help, even suggesting a beautiful hiking route and making sure we were set up for a great walk. A personal highlight: my partner’s birthday fell during our stay, and to our surprise, she was gifted a beautiful birthday cake—a gesture that truly made the day extra special. We also dined at the cabin, and it was one of the best meals we had in Sri Lanka. The owner and his wife clearly have a passion for good food, and it was a pleasure to taste it. Communication was seamless from the start, with quick and easy WhatsApp contact, making everything effortless. Cabin 7000ft is more than just a stay—it’s a special place that lingers in your memory long after you leave. Highly, highly recommended!

The location was very interesting, close to Pedro's Tea Factory where the Pekoe trail ends (host drove us to the beginning of the trail in our own car and we walked back).
