Much better than the photos!!! A great cottage in a lovely, quiet location. Such comfy seating in the open plan lounge. Huge TV! The main bedroom was perfect for us. I really liked that there were place mats to prevent any damage to bed side table surfaces and for the lounge.( I do travel with a couple of coasters- I know its a bit odd !!!) Good shower. The covered outside seating area was a fab place for relaxing with a good book.

Peaceful location with stunning views. Even though it was the middle of summer, Akaroa experienced a cold snap during our stay so the fireplace was welcomed. Cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped.

I love the stay! The loft is more spacious than it looks in the picture. It is tidy, cozy with special and lovely taste. Surrounded by the flowers and songs of bird, we feel pretty relaxed and joyful. Rob and Jo are friendly.

Super friendly and awesome communication!!! Everything was provided, but when we did require more towels, they were delivered straight away! It was really warm (fire, heaters & electric blankets) and super clean!!! Thank you!!! We enjoyed the fact it was walking distance to town, hotel/pub, easy to find, and a safe area! Thank you for making our family time away even more enjoyable!!

This property was outstanding. The views were so beautiful. The facilities had everything you could want and need! From awesome fire places (Inside and out), a dreamy hot tub down to the little details of any charger you may need. They have done an amazing job planting out the sill side, encouraging bird life which was cool to. Can’t wait to visit again in summer to see everything in full bloom.

Amazing tiny home in an awesome quiet, peaceful and elevated location with spectacular views down Akaroa harbour. 15 min drive into Akaroa but the tranquil peaceful location is magic. Accomodation is on a lavender farm and there are walking trails and full access to the rows of lavender. Lyn and Malcolm were exceptional hosts! Very friendly, kind and at tentative to our needs. Make sure to purchase some pacific blue lavender essential oil! Nice touches in the tiny house - with cushions that showcase the indigenous pigeons the place is named after and lavender water spray. Note that the toilet is a cassette toilet - this was not a problem for us - but it may be a surprise to others

    Loved the country feel of the area. We had all weathers from snow to very warm days and house was cosy and functional throughout. Plenty of room and lots of birds in garden. Near to water and hills, quiet enough to walk, close to general store, only 10km drive to Akaroa shops, walking trails and tourist attractions.
