The two ladies of the house were so lovely and nice, telling us all the tips and to do's in and around Lucia. We did - on their recommendation - a game drive in Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Park, a self-drive in iSimangaliso and a boat trip in St-Lucia. All of them were incredible. They know the best companies in town for those activities. Besides that they offer ice packs and a box to keep your drinks and food cool when going out on a day to the beach or a self-drive, big thumbs-up for that! Breakfast was on point and the staff was always very polite. The rooms were clean and everything was there what we needed during our stay, just perfect. Lovely and nice ladies, we hope to see them back soon. We definitely recommend to stay here in the lodge!

Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with an outdoor fireplace. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. The property was amazing, what you would expect for a "glamping" experience. We had our privacy as the rooms aren't in close proximity to each other. Amazing waking up in the morning and the wildlife passes by your room.

The resort management catered for my dietary requirements and were able to provide accommodation close to each other for our group. Good directions. From start to end, everything was organised professionally and to a very high standard.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, AfriCamps at White Elephant Safaris is situated on a game reserve in Jozini. Each of the luxury tents at this property features a private hot tub.

The two-bedroom, self-catering tents at AfriCamps have a kitchen, dining area and seating area. The main bedroom has a Queen bed, while the second bedroom has a double bed with a single bunk bed. Each tent has a bathroom with a shower. enjoyed driving through the reserve to the camp..saw giraffes, ostrich, nyala, impala, many bird species, warthog and an Ele on our game drive. Outdoor tub was perfect in the moonlight! Nala, receptionist and Sibo our game driver were excellent. Braai packs were amazingly fresh...thank you kitchen staff. Pub lunch at nearby lodge was great too.

The air-conditioned chalet is composed of 2 separate bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave and toaster, and 1 bathroom. Towels and bed linen are provided in the chalet. There is also a seating area and a fireplace. Everything that you need for a perfect weekend getaway. The tent is more spacious than expected, with a well equipped kitchen and two sizeable rooms. The unit was immaculately clean, with fresh linens, towels and extra blankets provided. The wood fired hot tub was a fun experience! Located on the lovely Gowan Valley Guest Farm, a gorgeous property where you can enjoy spectacular river views and forest greenery (the short Forest Walk through the property should not be missed!).

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Highbourne Cottages is a recently renovated chalet situated in Winterton, 10 km from Monks Cowl Country Club. The chalet, set in a building dating from 1940, is 34 km from Winterton Museum and 50 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.

A variety of wellness packages are available for guests to get rejuvenated on-site. For guests with children, the chalet provides outdoor play equipment. Guests can also warm themselves near outdoor fireplace after a day of snorkelling. We enjoyed our stay. The facilities and the house were spot on. The layout and location if the house are good. The house are fully equipped and the cleaning lady did a great job.
