Boasting an infinity pool and views of lake, Sasi Africa Luxury Tented Bush Lodge is a recently renovated luxury tent set in Bergville, 34 km from Kaalvoet Vrou Statue. The property was amazing, what you would expect for a "glamping" experience. We had our privacy as the rooms aren't in close proximity to each other. Amazing waking up in the morning and the wildlife passes by your room.

Featuring a hot tub, AfriCamps at Gowan Valley is located in Balgowan. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. Friendly and helpful staff lots of family friendly activities on the property. We particularly enjoyed the hot tub and pool.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Highbourne Cottages is a recently renovated chalet situated in Winterton, 10 km from Monks Cowl Country Club. We stayed at Protea Cottage, which is well-equipped and comfortable. It's located at the end of the R600, near the entrance to Monk's Cowl area of the Drakensberg. You can access many nice trails directly from the cottage. The view from the porch is glorious, especially at sunset. Cathkin Park is a great location, and we easily filled our 6 days there. We went ziplining, hiking, swimming in the streams, horseback riding at uShaka, and saw the Falcon Ridge Bird of Prey show. We unfortunately missed whitewater rafting and the Boys Choir show. Leslie communicated thoroughly ahead of time about check-in and other details so there were no surprises. We also loved that it was off the grid, but with the solar panels, who noticed? The kitchen had all the necessary items, including a camp toaster and a French press for coffee. Lindsey and Brett don't live on site, but they stopped by a couple of times, and they were friendly and helpful. Their caretakers were there daily and kept everything in good order.

Set in Champagne Valley, 2.1 km from Monks Cowl Country Club, Ama Casa Cottages offers accommodation with an infinity pool, free private parking, an open-air bath and a garden. The location is superb with spectacular views across to the mountains. The property lacks nothing for the comfort of its guests and the staff are attentive and reliable. We found no negatives.

Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. We all wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks Julian!

Offering massage services, a garden and free WiFi, Otters Den is a recently renovated chalet 6.5 km from Fort Nottingham Museum and 30 km from Bosch Hoek Golf Club. Cozy, comfortable, Nice scenery. River and small waterfall/rapid, birdsong provided soothing sounds from nature The Jacuzi bath functioned well. The fireplace provided warmth and ambience The self catering amenities was sufficient. Great Location in midlands/ central Drakensberg from where to explore the abundant surroundings; villages ,eateries, craft shopping; breweries; spa's, scenic waterfalls vistas of mountains sometimes snow capped

Riverbend Chalets (Gold Crown Resort) is set within the scenic Drakensberg Garden and boasts views of lush landscapes and the majestic Drakensberg Mountain Range. I love the fact that there is games inside the facility. And karaoke night was very entertaining and we very much enjoyed ourselves

Situated in Underberg in the KwaZulu-Natal region, Birches Cottage & the Willows Garden Room features accommodation with free private parking. We absolutely loved the walks on the property - beautifully thought-out and clearly sign-posted. Paths are so well maintained and points of interest kept up engaged and looking forward to exploring even more.

Offering a garden and garden view, J&B Lodge is set in Underberg, 8.2 km from Himeville Nature Reserve and 35 km from Coleford Nature Reserve. Beautifully located at the edge of town with superb mountain views. The unit has everything you might need, including excellent WiFi. Thoroughly enjoyed my trip.

Featuring a bar, Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge is located in Kruisfontein. The property is solar powered and offers Canadian-style log cabins. The scenery is really something else. You are already quite remote in this part of ZA but once they bring you up with the 4x4 the only people you will encounter are those on the premise itself. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. All in all great value and a very relaxing place with great views and hikes!
