A really nice little cabin, had everything we needed. Loved the fully fenced section for the dogs, with a gravel parking area for the car. The drinks, fresh eggs, and chocolates waiting for us was a nice touch! We arrived late and the heater had been left on also, making the room lovely and warm for our arrival.

A beautifully presented lodge with lovely setting amongst trees and autumn leaves turning outside like a golden carpet..we had a glorious time eating outside on long table...our family of 8 enjoyed our comfortable separate bedrooms and ensuites after DOC hutsand shared bunkrooms!!!

The 2 bd cabin was perfect. Comfy as bed and pillows. Great set out in lounge kitchen and having separate toilet is always a good thing. Easy walk to beach both ways and short walk to food options if you not cooking. The cafe is very handy and not a bad selection of food. Good kids play area. Great place to watch the planes coming into land.

A superb little cabin ideal for a solo traveller wanting their own space but still feeling safe. A lot of attention to detail in a small comfortable space. Superb views and great hosts. I’d certainly recommend this place for a few nights in Nelson.

Well priced, good kitchen facilities, good bathroom facilities, towels and soap provided, nice staff, chocolate pudding and ice cream every night at 8 (free). I've stayed in a lot of backpackers and holiday cabins, this was among the best of them. It was busy when the other places I stayed this week were quiet. That's because it's good. Oh, the beds were good. Nice form mattresses, good pillows and solid wooden (not squeaky) bases.

The tiny cabins were great, new and very clean. The ladder to the bed on the mezzanine was really cool, but if you are not confident with ladders or heights, it may be a bit daunting. The host was friendly and knowledgable. He is very eco-oriented and cultural, and the setting - wow - right in the bush! Some great walks uphill and along the river to be had.

What a phenomenal location!! A great hideaway from the busy touristy side of life. Mark is friendly and helpful and ensures you have a lovely stay. Being surrounded by nature in a cozy little cabin is true bliss.
