We couldn’t rate Sweet Songs highly enough! Everything was fantastic.
First off the location is beautiful. Yes, it’s off a long and quite bumpy road but it’s totally worth it. The scenery and wildlife are incredible! It feels so peaceful within the Lodge.
We stayed in a Casita which was also lovely. They had even laid out little petals across the bed when we arrived and we were given a welcome drink too.
The food was also fantastic. Great options for breakfast and lunch, the dinner menu changed daily and they made great cocktails too. We saw no need to venture out of the Lodge as it had everything we needed food and drinks wise!
Most importantly the staff were all so wonderful - they genuinely wanted you to enjoy your stay and went out of their way to help you, but in a relaxed and friendly manner.
We can’t wait to come back here!

Highlight was having a delicious (and copious) breakfast on our last day watching all of the animals coming to eat too. Including a coatimundi, hummingbirds, toucans, and many other amazing birds. The Pina colada la were also some of the best I've had !

The list goes on and on, it was my wife’s favorite hotel that she’s ever stayed in and that says a lot because we travel more than 50% of the year.

What a beautiful house with all the amenities just minutes from town. Howler monkeys and plenty of birds made every morning memorable. I have never seen such detail and thought go into the decor and feel of each room. We felt at home here and will be back.

Located 3.5 km from Cahal Pech, Yumas Riverfront Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.
There is a private bathroom with shower in all units, along with free toiletries and bathrobes.
Our bungalow at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge was gorgeous! Beautiful, modern design, luxurious bedding, spacious bathroom with rain shower, stocked bar fridge & snacks, and incredible rainforest views from our private deck. The new pool was very refreshing, and home-cooked breakfast served at their outdoor kitchen before our daily adventures was amazing! Our stay highly exceeded our expectations for the price - it was glorious for our family (2 adults and 2 teenagers). We used Xplore Inland Tours for three adventures near San Ignacio / Santa Elena: (1) Guided Moutain Pine Ridge Tour (including a visit to Rio Frio Cave, then a traditional Belizian picnic lunch, and a stop to swim in pools and waterfalls at Rio On Pools); (2) Guided Cave Tubing at Nohoch Che'en; and (3) Horseback Riding under the rainforest canopy along a beautiful river. This is a smaller, family-run tour operator that gave us private tours for a better price that huge tour operators with giant groups. Best of both worlds - our guides were amazing and we got such personalized service! They even picked us up and dropped us off at Yuma's Riverfront Lodge each day, instead of us having to find our own way into San Ignacio. Perfect! 10/10

This was the best trip I have ever taken. I’d like to mention who stood out but the whole staff was amazing. We tubed down the river, pet the bunnies & donkeys & ate fruits & vegetables raised on the farm. The pictures of the rooms & common areas don’t give this justice. We went to the ruins & had a phenomenal guide (Gershwin) that made all the difference. I felt extremely safe & a part of something bigger than myself. Thank you so much for an experience I will never forget. I felt like part of your family. I already miss waking up to the sounds of the birds & monkeys in the jungle.

Here’s a polished and engaging travel review for Banana Bank Lodge:
A True Gem of Hospitality and Community
My stay at Banana Bank Lodge was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warmth and genuine care. The staff couldn’t do enough for me—attentive, kind, and always ready to assist. Their dedication to guest satisfaction truly sets this place apart.
What makes Banana Bank Lodge extraordinary isn’t just its breathtaking surroundings or the comfort it offers, but the passion and heart that go into every aspect of it. The owner is a true gentleman, going above and beyond to share the incredible history of the lodge and the meaningful work he and his wife have dedicated themselves to. This is far more than just a lodge or farm; it’s a living testament to their deep-rooted commitment to the land, the people, and the culture.
Their philosophy is evident in every detail—from their respect for nature to their efforts in uplifting the local community. They don’t just run a business; they are actively making a positive impact wherever possible. It’s a shining example of how tourism can be a force for good, blending sustainability, hospitality, and cultural enrichment.
Thank you, Banana Bank Lodge, for an unforgettable experience. I left not just with wonderful memories but with deep admiration for what you stand for. If you’re looking for a stay that’s more than just a vacation—a place that truly touches the heart—this is it.

Beautiful hotel with so amazing cottages. Extremely clean and well built cabins, also very private. Beautiful and cozy landscaping all over with nice light and wildlife sounds. So cool outdoor showers in the cabins. Big beautiful pool and cozy sitting area. Very kind and personal service.
The trips and shuttle services they organized.
Could not be better! Tony and Juliet are the most wonderful hosts I have ever encountered. Be sure to order the home-cooked breakfasts. Resting in the hammock on the screened porch with amazing views was heaven. The cabins have all you need - tub, microwave, full-size fridge, full water jug, comfy bed, beautiful local paintings. The perfect jumping off point for our San Ignacio adventures. Convenient to everything, yet felt like you were in the jungle.
It was in a nice location, very scenic and the huts we stayed in were nice with a great view. The staff were very helpful when discussing options for travel and excursions.
I was captivated by the exquisite exterior of the place, which radiates a remarkable beauty. The cabins, in particular, exude a delightful fragrance that adds an extra layer of charm to the overall experience.
The cabins were rustic with comfy beds. Extreemly hot water for showers. The view was amazing from our screened in porch. The restaurant served great food. Unfortunately we had cloudy weather so the pool was cool.
We enjoyed our stay. The cabins are comfortable and private.
Really nice place, quaint and good set up. Rooms super clean and cool. Breakfast is super handy and the common areas make for easy meeting. It’s a good spot and the staff are super helpful to book tours and shuttles. Great stay!
Gaia River Lodge is a an interesting secluded hotel where you sleep in cabins that have no windows. Interesting experience (though most of our clothes were wet at all times due to humidity). The hotel has a beautiful view of the river and small waterfalls below. The hotel offers a tour to Caracol and our tour guide Ric was brilliant - he really knew Maya’s history and lore and we learned a lot.
Loved being in the middle of the jungle. The team go out of their way to help. Cabins are sweet and have what you need (eg a full kitchen, free water), plus nice touches (eg little flowers on your towels)
