Comfy, traditional design and slightly older but clean and well maintained. Two bedrooms, bathroom with tub and bidet. Steady supply of hot water sufficient to both take a shower and run a hot bath. Large, very nice lounge. Well equipped kitchen + laundry room with both washing machine and dryer. Good wifi. Spacious and easy to get into private off-street parking. Quiet at night, slight traffic noise by day (about 100m from local main road). Traditional neighbourhood untouched by tourism or gentrification, yet didn’t feel unsafe. Easy access to motorway, about 7 min drive to old town. Five min drive to the local supermarket. Three minutes walk to the beach. Owner available on Whatsapp for advice. Friendly manner, welcome apple pie. Very nice property. Friendly & quiet neighbours. We had a lovely time in São Miguel.

We enjoyed our stay in Atlantic Gateway Lodge. The flat is spacious, well equipped and is in line with the photos. It is located in a local condominium, which is not spectacular from the outside, but the flat is nice. We appreciated that the hosts provided a lot of toiletries, as well as plenty of towels which was a big plus in the humid Azorean climate. We found the location, Arrifes, perfect (with a car). It is a quiet residential area, a 10-minute drive from Ponta Delgada centre and 5-minute drive from the motorway: an ideal base to explore the island. The airport is also just 10-minute drive away, but luckily no airplane noises can be heard. The windows of the back of the flat overlook green fields and mountains. A big well-equipped supermarket is only a 3-minute drive from the flat. Marcia, the host was kind, we had a good communication with her. She welcomed us in person with traditional Azorean cookies, showed us around the flat and helped us with local taxis, as we didn't have a car on the first day. There were noise issues one morning from a neighbour due to repair works, and Marcia and her husband were kind enough to agree with the neighbour to do the works when we were out. There was no issue with parking, there were always a couple of spots available. We recommend this accommodation and would gladly return.

It was and amazing time! It was just one night but it was worth it. The place was super clean and comfortable . It has been very thing the room is full equipped and the garden is really good with a nice pool and a bbq available to use it when ever you want. Also you can have a nice view from the roof top. It was an incredible end for our holidays.

Our stay was truly wonderful. The cabin is beautifully decorated and very comfortable, the attention to detail in every corner is evident. The hot tub is a great way to unwind the day, breakfast was delicious. Would love to return one day, highly recommend.

Clean, cozy, beautiful apartment. The apartment is equipped with everything you need. Central location, beautiful view from the hall window to the marina and yachts. Quick check-in, top communication with the owners. Excellent location: in the building several souvenir stores, next to the supermarket and cafes. Opposite the building in the marina is a good restaurant, there are also boat trips.
