We absolutely loved our one night stay. The homestead and it’s decor is full of character and history. We stayed in a one of the top floor rooms,although compact, it was beautifully appointed and well layed out, with all modern amenities and thoughtful little details to make your stay comfortable. Great location - perfect for exploring the highlights of Skye. Enjoyed our dinner and breakfast too. Definitely exceeded our expectations and would recommend a stay here.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience. The rom was spotless, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed, comfy beds, a modern kitchenette, and reliable Wi-Fi. The location was ideal, just a 10-minute drive from Portree. Rachael was incredibly welcoming, leaving us eggs, bread, milk, tea, coffee, and butter. Her restaurant recommendation was spot-on. Thank you, Rachael, for an unforgettable stay.

We spent 3 nights at the end of May here and had a fantastic stay. Shepherds Hut is set in a beautiful location, looking over the rolling green hills and you can also walk to the sea. Rachel was a fantastic host with really fast communication and picking up the keys was straight forward. The hut was immaculately clean and the hosts had kindly left out bread, butter, jam and eggs. There is a big co-op only a 10 minute drive away so we cooked each night, as there is a fridge, 2 hobs and plenty of kitchen utensils. The nights are very short here in summer but fortunately there Hut has proper curtains all around so the light never affected our sleep.

Host Vanessa was very prompt, helpful, and friendly. The directions to reach the place were meticulously drafted, so it became very easy for us to reach the place. The Lodge was quite spacious. It had everything we needed in two nights.

Our stay was amazing, I want to live in this pod. It is so well organized, such a pretty design and great atmosphere!! Checking in and out were very easy, the pod was very warm (had floor heating) and comfy, we had an adjacent parking, great coffee machine and a really cute set of snacks! 15 minute walk from center

    We enjoyed our stay in this superb, quiet, spotless little cabin in a rural area. Loved the black calves frolicking in the paddock. Wish we could have stayed longer.

    Excellent location to see and visit the isle of Skye. Facilities were great, especially the goodies that Rachel supplied. Loved the Shepherd Hut and had such a wonderfully stay so cosy and comfortable. Will love to go back one day. Thank you Rachel for making our stay exceptional.

    The apartment was so secluded.and peaceful, our own space in and around the cabin. The hot tub was an amazing feature and the showers ran hot. We had some cute neighbors - sheep and a horse. It was wonderful waking up to their faces!

    Lovely place to stay in Skye. Shepards hut was a good size and comfortable for the two of us. Beautifully thought out space with great amenities. We cooked dinner in the cabin two nights. Able to sit outside of an afternoon and enjoy the farm views. Hosts were lovely to have a chat to. Parking is close to the hut. Short drive into Portree and able to drive easily to other parts of the isle.
