Absolutely loved the stay. The room was clean, the kitchen had enough of everything. The little extras supplied were fantastic. Our dog was made welcome. Lovely stay. Will be back but this time for longer

It was very nice, modern and clean. Perfect for what we needed. It’s also walking distance to a nice family pub with good home cooked food. There are lots of good walks around the property aswell which were mentioned on the welcome paper.

Gary and Jennifer are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Backside Lodge is equipped with everything you could possibly need and more. Lovely warm welcome on arrival. Homemade scones, biscuits, sweets, bottle water, bottle of beer and a bottle of wine waiting in the lodge for use. A lovely touch to a perfect stay. The bed was so comfortable and the lide was extremely clean. Can't wait to go back.

There was no official breakfast and we had done a shop for provisions but there was a very thoughtful welcome package with cereal, milk and goodies which was a lively surprise

Went for peace and quiet,and you get that in abundance here,very quiet and peaceful,the hosts were lovely,nothing was to much trouble for them,and the family food van on site(Vagabond comfort foods)delivers right to your door,and the foods very good.so if you need somewhere to unwind,I'd highly recommend this place.

Lovely quiet area, spacious outside space and the shops were only a few minutes up the road. Like how it included a washing machine and dishwasher, also the decor was lovely, luxury cabin. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend.

We loved the location of the lodge it was very clean and well stocked in the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable, the linen and towels were of high quality Very close to Pickering and we also enjoyed Malton
