Very good communication from the host. Simple key-safe check-in. We loved the welcome chocolates upon arrival and the quirky selection of complimentary drinks in the mini bar and were grateful for the milk. There were even ice cubes in the small freezer. The bed was very comfortable, and the shower was decent with no shortage of hot water. We slept with the curtains open so that we could appreciate the lovely view and see the sunrise in front of us in the morning. Everything we needed was provided, and the coffee made in the machine was great. My daughter loved watching the fish from the terrace. We will return for another stay next time we are in the area.

The chalet was set in á small, quiet village of similar buildings. It was perfect for my husband and me, but would equally have suited a small family or four adults. We found the second bedroom very useful as a dressing room. The King Size bed was incredibly comfortable and there are loads of pillows to choose from and plenty of hanging space in both bedrooms. I loved the electric stove top in the kitchen area, which is so easy to clean!

The property was very well furnished with everything you needed and much much more! it was extremely clean and like a home away from home. The location was lovely and the lakes were stunning. Added extras such as tea coffee biscuits and drinks - special little touches that really put a smile on your face. Our host Ian was the most understanding host I have ever came across. We stayed during the huge storm and he ensured that we were comfortable and did everything and more to ensure we were okay. He went above and beyond and this was so refreshing. Unfortunately our stay got cut short due to the awful weather but Ian made sure we were not at a loss. It was such a shame because it really is the most beautiful property and we wanted to stay longer!

We stayed here whilst visiting Salcombe and the local area. The property location is very close to Exeter and the west of Dartmoor. It also close to many National Trust properties, such as the beautiful Killerton House that is only a 10 minute drive away. The accommodation would be an ideal stop for one or two nights on the way to Lands End and Cornwall for long journeys. The cleanliness was excellent. It was a real pleasure to stay here and we look forward to coming back in the future.

It was clean and tidy. The hot tub was warm when we arrived. Sofa’s were comfortable and the lodge generally was comfortable to stay in.
