Antique 1242 was a delightful experience. We wanted a stay that was close to our son and daughter-in-law and this fit the bill. We have grown weary of the big chains with their one sided loyalty. The rooms are spacious, there is a wonderful common area to relax and visit. With only 2 rooms, it really feels like home. Breakfast was brilliant! An authentic British breakfast greeted us in the morning along with a proper tea from the kettle! I can't say enough with regard to our stay. Helen was a delight and we really felt an authentic friendly connection.

I stayed at the villa 3 years ago before it's renovation and it was so old, musty, and just not really worth the money. The NEWLY RENOVATED villa is beautiful!! It is immaculate! We absolutely loved our stay and plan to definitely return many more times in the future. Highly recommended!!!

We had interesting conversations, and he gave us good tips for excursions and sightseeing in the area. The room and bathroom are very tidy and clean. We felt comfortable. It's a shame we only had time for one day.
