The building is historic but my room was either new or rehabbed and it was fresh and clean and decorated really cute. There is a bar on premises which was nice and so convenient. Sean was a great host-very welcoming and friendly. Made me feel like a local which was great as a solo traveler. He had a breakfast room which was decked out with many different breakfast choices perfect for hikers or anyone.

The decor was elegant and stylish, wonderful lighting, heating, thoughtful touches available (like coffee, tea, wine and snacks) so we could relax from the moment we arrived and not have to go to a supermarket. The bed was super comfy. Towels luxurious. Friendly and responsive communication.

This little hidden gem absolutely exceeded my expectations. Though at first the price seems high, when you think of what you would get from a travellodge or similar, then paying for extras link breakfast and drinks, there wasn't much difference for our family of four. The location is spectacular and you feel very much in the wild. We stayed for a night to break up a visit with family and as a Christmas treat and what a treat it was. The yurt is toasty warm thanks to the wood pellet stove, though the outdoor toilet in -7 degrees was a bit chilly! There were heated blankets in the beds though we ended up not needing them. The children loved the outdoor space, the fairy doors, whimsical tree house and mud kitchen. What made it so special for us was the view of the night sky, I don't think I have ever seen so many stars and to fall asleep looking at that through the skylight was so special. The hosts have supplied so many home comforts inside the yurt too, hot chocolate and teas and coffee, a box of board games, books and home made ornaments to compliment the space. The microwave and outdoor fire pit BBQ allowed us to cook a lovely meal and then breakfast was superb, continental style with eggs probably from the chickens in the coop nearby! Would I go back? ABSOLUTELY!

The house was exceptionally clean! Our room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. Our hosts gave us a lift to the town centre in the evening! I would definitely come back and stay there again. We had a great stay at your beautiful cottages! We absolutely loved the little fairy trail you’ve created for children—it was such a magical touch. The cottages themselves are of the highest standard: very comfortable, warm, and inviting. The view from the cottage was breathtaking. Drinking coffee in the mornings while gazing out at the spectacular scenery was truly unforgettable. It was also a pleasure to watch the friendly alpacas roaming on the farm. Jo and Sue, the hosts, were incredibly helpful yet allowed us to enjoy our stay with complete independence. The nearby tourist attractions were all within a short drive—no more than 30 minutes away. We had the most magical Christmas ever, and it was all thanks to your wonderful hospitality and the charm of the cottages.
