The room was large for the three of us (adults). There is a local pub down the road about 200 metres away and had a friendly atmosphere and a live Irish Band. Seriously, this place is worth visiting.

Situated in Newtown, 5 minutes’ drive from Ballyvaughan and Galway Bay, The Waters Country House boasts over 40 acres of farmland at the foot of the Burren Hills. We stayed at The Waters Country House during our trip through the Irish countryside and it was like stepping into a fairytale. The house is absolutely stunning—full of charm and character. Our host, Wolfgang, was very kind and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. Breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful setting with unique furniture and warm lighting, creating a peaceful atmosphere. We also recommend booking a table at Monks restaurant nearby—local taxi drivers make it easy to get there without a car. A very special place we’d love to return to!
