We just loved everything! A beautiful place to enjoy the nature (the view to the mountains, watching wild rabbits, birds etc.) after an active hiking day. The room was just perfect. The best breakfast in the UK! The hosts are very friendly and genuinely nice people. We would love to come back soon.

A beautiful stay on our road trip in Scotland. A lovely place with a high standard in everything. The natur around ballater is wunderful. The breakfast was amazing and the the english humor excellent. When I aseked for another cup of coffee I got the answer . . "no . . . . . we have limited coffee ;-) I was 1 second very surprised . . . . . . . and then we all laughed together. Just try it . . . . you will love it. Thank you for the beautiful stay . . . . . .

Fairdene Cottage was perfect. So adorable and comfortable. I was able to visit Balmoral and also the Ballater train station with a replica of Queen Victoria's train carriage. I loved everything about the cottage and its location.

Lovely little place with high-quality furnishings. Just a short walk from the middle of Ballater but feels quiet and peaceful. The lounge/dining room catches the late afternoon sun and has a view up to the oak woods of Craigendarroch hill. It's quite a small place (the reasonable price reflects this - it's in a 'premium' part of the Highlands) but the quality of the armchair, sofa and dining chairs would put many a grand country hotel to shame and made for a relaxing and memorable stay.

    It was situated centrally for travel around the local area. Placed inside a small little Scottish village which was scenic and beautiful. The hotel itself was fabulous and I was very welcomed from the minute I stepped to the front door. It made a huge part of my holiday. Would absolutely stay again in the future. Loved my little road trip up North.

    A great location and short walk to the village for walking around and access to restaurants and cafes. The B&B is in a large old house\inn, a little dated unless that is your preference for something a little more steeped in history vs, a little more up to date and modern amenities. Breakfast was excellent including a made to order hot breakfast if desired.

    The location is great - walking distance from the centre of the village. It was very clean. There is good WiFi. We didn't need it, but it's wheelchair accessible (although not for cooking, so you'd need to eat out or have someone with you).

    In the heart of the village opposite free parking so the location was absolutely perfect. The owners are a lovely couple and they extended a warm welcome, were friendly throughout and cook a fantastic breakfast. The bed was comfortable, the room was warm and well ventilated. Not only that it had a spacious bathroom with a powerful shower. We will definitely be back!

    Very friendly owner. Our room was spacious and clean , and breakfast was delicious in the conservatory overlooking the back garden. The view out of our window at the property opposite was beautiful. The property was within walking distance of the village centre. There was plenty of off street parking.
