Al llegar alguien me esperaba en el aeropuerto (servicio gratuito) para acompañarme al hostel. Esto siempre se agradece. El dueño, Arnold, que es viajero también, es un pozo sin fondo de información, que te facilita las cosas desde el primer momento. El hostel que es sencillo pero coqueto, está dentro del casco viejo. Llegar cada día y cada noche hasta allí es un placer viajero. El área es muy segura. Tiene un roof top muy aprovechable.

We weren't sure where to stay in Shela with all of the incredible options, so decided to listen to the reviews combined with the price point and pick this place. We were so pleased with our stay: beds are v comfortable, the multi-storied building allows nice breeze in, the terrace is an absolute dream. The breakfast was so good with fresh fruit, pastries, bread, banana pancakes, and swahili tea. We were looking at the island's more expensive offers and don't feel that we missed out at all. This felt like the perfect mix of affordability, comfort, and relaxation. It was also so much more peaceful than would have been directly on the beach. They clean everything daily so it's sparkiling. It's incredibly comfortable.

El Kijani Hotel está situado en la costa de la isla de Lamu, en el océano Índico. Ofrece piscina y jardines naturales. Este hotel presenta adornos, lámparas y muebles naturales hechos a mano. We loved the position being tight on the beach , the restaurant was also looking over the beach with beautiful cool breezes. The staff are all very friendly and helpful

Shela Bliss se encuentra a 4 min a pie de Manda Beach y ofrece alojamiento con salón de uso común, terraza y cocina compartida. It was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had. The house is a traditional Swahili house, with a beautiful terrace and views, a tastefully decorated interior with all the necessary amenities and a well stacked kitchen, which is always a plus with kids. Our host Abadalla is quite simply the best host I’ve ever had - and we travel quite a bit. He was kind, thoughtful and basically carefully planned our entire stay, coordinating tours, recommending awesome local spots and day activities along the way. He took take of it all, from airport pick up, to sunset Dhow, to Lamu tour, he negotiated the prices and made the trip ultra smooth. He also served us beautiful breakfast every morning, with a large variety of fruits, Swahili pastries, omelettes, etc. He also stocked the fridge and made sure we always had drinking water for a very reasonable fee. The nicest and warmest guy, who also shared many special moments with us, and shared stories and history of Lamu as well. We would highly recommend Shela Bliss to anyone. An outstanding experience!

Ras Kitao Holiday Villa tiene piscina al aire libre, jardín, salón de uso común y terraza en Lamu. Our vacation was fantastic! The place had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the accommodations were very comfortable. It truly felt like a home away from home.

Mangrove House se encuentra en Lamu y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, zona de playa privada y terraza frente a la playa, a pocos pasos de Manda Beach. The locations is a gem. Away from the HUSTLE AND BUSTLE OF LAMU. There is a great restaurant next door With delicious food and you can always pop over to Sheila (5 min boat ride) for some activity if you feel too quiet on the island 🏝️ 👍

Andavelo House tiene vistas a la ciudad y se encuentra en Lamu. Cuenta con restaurante, servicio de traslado gratuito, bar, jardín, piscina al aire libre abierta todo el año y terraza. Absolutely stunning, beautifully renovated historic Swahili building in the heart of the oldest part of Lamu Town. My suite was complete with the traditional carved grand bed of the mansion, so large it had a step to get up into it; a beautiful terrace with a view over the old town rooftops to the water; gorgeous carved plasterwork, traditional paintwork, and plenty of space and air. Safari the house manager was amazing, so thoughtful, pleasant and responsive to every small request. The dining and lounge floor also lovely, with a pool and comfortable, cool areas to relax. A very special historic property where you can immerse yourself in the grandeur and romance of Lamu's heyday: such a wonderful treat to stay here. I look forward to returning.

Samaki House, que cuenta con jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Lamu, a 2 min a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y a 300 metros de Lamu Museum. Moses was so kind and helpful. I loved the breakfast and our room!

Beytsalam está a 2 min a pie de 18th Century Swahili House Museum y ofrece alojamiento con jardín, salón de uso común y cocina compartida. Hay wifi gratis. Beautiful setting, we were made to feel at home. The manager Omar and his team went above and beyond in their service.

Amu House, que cuenta con jardín, salón de uso común, terraza y wifi gratis, se encuentra en Lamu, a 1 min a pie de Lamu Fort y a 200 metros de Lamu Museum. Very well kept with all the original features,and very clean. Staff was Amazing
