Excellent location, walking distance to entertainment, restaurants, lake side attractions, boating and hiking. A nice quaint town with lots to do - White House is a great location.

Situated in Grasmere, 12 km from Windermere, Victorian House features parking is limited and offered on a first come and first served basis. The rooms come with a flat-screen TV. To start off, this place is located right across a sheep farm that's a few steps away from your door. When we first arrived, we were mesmerized by the greenery and the cattle. We were checked in and the staff were very friendly. They have complimentary cake at the entrance, which was some of the greatest cake I've ever had. If you're booking, don't miss the breakfast. I left today and I'm still craving their Royal Egg Benedict. They accomodated our Halal food requests and were very greatful. The location itself is perfect. Very close to the bus stops. And you could get a bus to ambleside and, more importantly, Keswick. The room was warm, cozy and clean. They have warmed towels and lovely hot water. Overall, an unforgettable experience and I'm definitely going back again.

In beautiful Lakeland surroundings overlooking an idyllic brook, Glencree is situated between the villages of Bowness and Windermere. Our stay at Glencree absolutely exceeded our expectations! The room was gorgeous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was delicious, with a selection of cereals to choose from, fresh fruit and breakfast cooked to order. Great location, and lots of parking in the church across the road if the guest spots are taken. Would highly recommend Glencree to anyone looking for a stay in Windermere.

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms. Spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing and they catered for both vegan and gluten intolerance. The linen was great and all facilities were clean and new. The hosts were friendly and always available. I recommend that anyone that stays there goes to the Windmill Inn only 100m down the road for a meal. Lovely garden and next to a petrol station and shop if you need to buy any basics.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning. Breakfast is amazing, with a-la-carte eggs, and buffet with yogurt parfaits, breads, and other snacks. Beautiful dining room. On-site parking is an authentic local experience, but much appreciated. Staff were really wonderful and helpful. After-hours check in was flawless.

Gostišče The Westbourne se nahaja v mirnem predelu pod razgledno točko Biskey Howe v predelu Lake District. Spalnice nudijo kabino za prhanje, razkošen toaletni pribor in velike mehke brisače. The room is beautiful and the bed is wide and super comfortable. I checked in quite late, and sent the message earlier so the landlord kindly manage to sent the instruction on how to find my room key which I found it very helpful. The room amenities also quite generous with tea and coffee collections and chocolate drinks. Thanks a lot 👍🏽

Jerichos is a contemporary family-run guest house with stylish decor situated on a quiet side street in the heart of Windermere village. There is free Wi-Fi and free ample private parking. This is a lovely place to spend 1 or several nights. House is immaculately kept and owners are on site and very accommodating. We very much appreciated the effort they put in to a positive guest experience.

Just 1 mile from Lake Windermere this beautiful Victorian house is set in a peaceful location between Windermere and Bowness. Everything was exceptional. The beds are really comfortable, the staff are super lovely, and breakfast is delicious.
