The beaches at Six Senses Laamu are some of the most beautiful we have ever seen, and we were impressed with the hotel's commitment to sustainability and care for marine life and animals. The food at Six Senses Laamu was exceptional, and we especially loved the breakfast with its broad range of choices. Good food Resort is new, large room, comfortable bed, nice bathroom, terrace with sofa Daily free snorkeling excursions, water sports staff is nice However: Not much of a beach, except in front of the bar; beach is in the shadow in the afternoon. Weak wifi. Lots of corals that hurt the feet, shoes are necessary, seaweed in the afternoon (see pictures). Unsuitable for swimming: shallow water - ankle-deep at low tide and waist-deep at high tide. There is a manmade swimming channel in front of the bar, quite limited. Therefore, the only snorkeling possible is through an excursion. We tried swimming in the lake, but the water is very warm there, it’s like swimming in a bathtub and in addition the water is dirty (see pictures). There is a pipe bringing the sewage of the hotel to the open ocean from behind the port, you can even see it on the satellite if you look closely. Depending on tide/current, this water comes back into the lake. Apart from lack of beach/swimming, the worst was the transfer issues and the complete disregard of customers.

Everything Ahmed has been very helpful and reactive all the time, even before we booked the accomodation. He was always there for us when we needed, always doing everything he could to make this stay unforgettable. The girls cooked for us some delicious food, always with the smile and they made our room every morning very clean and nice. The guys on the boat to take us surfing were super friendly, always ready to take us to different spots at whatever time we will ask. They even took us surfing 1h30 away from the island! They took some very nice pictures of us surfing with our camera, spending hours doing it in the heat. I was amazed.. The bbq they made for us at the beach was delicious!! Thanks so much to all of you to have made this holidays epic! Oh and the room we had was super big!! We didn't expect that at all for the price..

Assisted with many questions and booked my boat to and from Male. Very helpful. Thimarafushi is a small, quiet island for relaxation, and snorkeling day trips.

I wish everyone could experience a vacation like this. It’s different from other resorts in the Maldives because, with a capacity of around 20 people, you are not just a guest but part of the family. Everyone can do their own thing. If you want an active vacation, you can book a trip at the reception. If you just want to relax, the private beach, rooftop, gym, or spa is the perfect place for you. The hotel is located on Thimarafushi Island, and everyone is incredibly welcoming. Even if you’re traveling alone as a woman, there’s no sense of threat. A big plus is the lounge just across the street, where you can play games like pool, table tennis, air hockey, and more. After this vacation, where I tried surfing, snorkeling, jet skiing, and swimming with mantas, I can’t imagine going anywhere else. Even the food was delicious! I have celiac disease, which makes it harder for me, but the staff always told me what I could or couldn’t eat. If they didn’t have a gluten-free dessert, I got ice cream instead. I would like to thank the owner for the best trip of my life. I can assure you that this won’t be my last visit to this paradise.
