Located in Dharavandhoo, BAGEECHAA STAY features a garden, terrace, restaurant, and free WiFi throughout the property. The accommodation provides room service and a 24-hour front desk for guests. I had the most incredible birthday at Bageecha Stay! The rooms were absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh scent and everything feeling brand new. The service was top-notch – personalized and thoughtful at every turn. The food? Delicious and beautifully presented! One of the best parts is the ability to choose between local Maldivian dishes or European cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The island is the perfect size for exploring, with clean beaches and stunning ocean views. The view from my room was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out right before my eyes. The highlight of my stay was taking a boat trip to a deserted island, which turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. It was peaceful, beautiful, and truly magical – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! For those who love to explore, the resort offers bicycles that you can take and ride around the island. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see every corner of this beautiful place. Everything at Bageecha Stay is designed with attention to detail. The rooms were cleaned regularly, ensuring everything stayed fresh and pristine. They even have special branded beach towels, which was a lovely touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay. Another unique feature of the resort is the sight of planes taking off – a fascinating experience that makes for amazing photos! The transfer from the airport was very comfortable – we were greeted upon arrival, and everything was handled smoothly. Thank you, Bageecha Stay, for an unforgettable birthday! Highly recommended for an amazing stay!

Set in Dharavandhoo in the Baa Atoll region and Dharavandhoo Beach reachable within 400 metres, Hanifaru Transit Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi, barbecue facilities, a private beach area and... Everything! We got a nice welcome coconut drink on their outdoor terrace. The owner Ahmed and the whole staff are amazing, they always went out of the way to make our stay perfect, they organized our trips with their boat, they made sure we were the first to come to the spot where the mantas and the whale sharks were and also to the sand bank. We could rent a Gopro and got the videos. We could use the washing machine for free as much as we needed and dry the laundry on their roof terrace. Breakfast was delicious and plenty, also different almost every day, a great combination of Maldivian and western foods, including peanut butter and chocolate spread! They offer complimentary tea and cofee 24 hours, and you can take water bottles from the fridge any time. The room and the ensuite bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean, it's cleaned every day. The place is small and feels homely. We felt treated like family. If we could, we would rate the guesthouse 15 out of 10! We recommend the place 100% ! Thank you for your amazing work!

Small and quiet island occupied in its half by an airport and on the other half by the locals and a few guesthouses. Perfect place to relax and forget all the rest. Not much to see on the island. Few souvenir shops and one restaurant near the airport. Some excursions are organized by the guesthouses. Very quiet place. Friendly people, lovely beach and dolphins strolling by. I recommend Honney Bunny restaurant next to the airport. Dharavandhoo is not a place to stay for too long if you prefer busy environments.
Small local islands for chilling, It has everything you need with step accessibility. There are several guest houses, dive center, bikini beach, jungle side and beautiful coral reef. Highly recommend for short and longer stay.
Dharavandhoo is a very laid back locals island. There is not much to do other than diving and beach time, both of which were truly wonderful. The island does not allow alcohol, and females should respect the Muslim culture and cover shoulders and thighs, and swim at the "bikini beach." A bicycle is all that is needed to get around the island, Keep in mind that there are few cafes and shops, so be prepared for diving, sun and relaxation. Airport provides convenient transfers to Male,
Maalhos is a beautiful island surrounded by white coral beaches. It has a forest full of palms and tropical trees and plants. If you visit it in the evening, use mosquito repellent. Local villagers are nice and friendly. There is a bikini beach with sun beds and amazing access to turquoise colour water. Beaches are white sand and on several parts of the island you can find corals and shells on the beach. There is a diving center, you can rent a water scooter or go for a snorkeling trip. Snorkeling was an amazing experience. We saw tropical fish, sting rays, corals and big turtles while snorkeling. We went for a dolphin watch and saw dozens of dolphins swimming and jumping in the sea. There is an isolated island close to Maalhos with beautiful turquoise lagoons. Unfortunately there was also quite a lot of trash when we visited and the forest is full of mosquitoes, so don't forget to take your repellent if you visit. During some months you can watch mantas. We had the luck and the blue bioluminescence plankton 3 or 4 nights on the beach, it was a breath taking experience. We stayed and took breakfast, lunch and dinner in Manta Reserve Hotel, which is the best place to stay in Maalhos. You can walk around the island in 45 minutes.
The island is very small and you can walk it, in flip-flops, rather slowly from one end to another in about 15 minutes. It is very quiet, full of wonderful beaches, seemed safe and the grocery store was easily reachable as well.
A local island so don't expect the resort life - the beaches look picture perfect, but the streets are full of trash. You can experience and learn about the local lifestyle, traditions etc. which is a big plus in my opinion. I read that the house reef is one of the best in the Maledives and I can absolutely vouch for that.
