I Matsuyama, 7,1 kilometer fra Matsuyama stasjon, ligger ホテルファンタジアリゾート 松山 -Adult Only-, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. We rented 701 and it was a true VIP experience. All the amenities you can imagine at a love hotel. Our suite had an outdoor bathtub, a sauna, and everything else was top notch and new. It really gets you into the mood....it's going to be really hard to beat this experience for us in the few more love hotels we are staying at in Shikoku. We booked this out of necessity as we had a late change of plans and all normal hotels were sold out or super expensive. We got VIP experience for a price of a cheap business hotel in Matsuyama.

I Matsuyama, 18 minutters gange fra Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, ligger Bakushuku Den Guest House Brew, som har en fellesstue, privat parkering, en terrasse og en bar. Charming guesthouse. Den and the rest of the staff are really lovely, friendly people. They even let me check in later than usual because my flight got delayed because of a typhoon. They left messages on signs for me every morning to wish me a good day. The guesthouse has a traditional Japanese guesthouse style, with some tatami rooms with futons and other ones with beds. But the guesthouse itself is well preserved, so it feels traditional but not old. They offer amenities such as face and body towel, toothpaste, face cleanser, body soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryers, and cotton swabs, apart from a kitchen with a fridge and utensils you can use to cook, and a washing machine as well. The guesthouse is located right above a brewery, but even though they play music, I didn't feel my room was noisy and I could rest well at night (and they close before midnight). Anyway, they leave earplugs and blindfolds in your room in case you need them. The place was clean and had some nice art. It's a 5-minute walk to Mitsu station, which takes you to the central area in less than 30 minutes. I can recommend it.

I Matsuyama, 2 kilometer fra Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, ligger いわしの子守唄 Sardine Lullaby, som har gratis WiFi og gratis privat parkering. The breakfast, as others have said, is very exceptional (seafood based so not vegetarian). I guess the host was a chef or something of the sort for 30 years. The facilities were clean, and there were no problems. It was a convenient location for us because there were fireworks nearby on the night of our stay.

三津ミーツ ligger i Mitsuhama, 2,1 kilometer fra Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, og har rom med klimaanlegg, i tillegg til en fellesstue. The Hostel is in a nice neighbourhood with old houses. I had a beautiful spacious tatami room. Very friendly and helpful host!

Hotel Fine Garden Matsuyama ligger i Matsuyama og har gratis WiFi. Her bor du 3,2 kilometer fra Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine og 4 kilometer fra Matsuyama stasjon. The room was spacious with a big bathroom. The hotel provides lots of toiletries to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to the room in the morning.

Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan ligger i Matsuyama og har en hage, en terrasse og en bar i tillegg til gratis WiFi og utsikt over elven. Katsuhiro's Ryokan is absolutely one of the nicest places I've been and nicest host I've met. The pictures speak for themselves absolutely gorgeous rooms with an Indonesian flair. Beautiful gardens with Koi. Katushiro was so gracious and took great care of myself and friends. Will definitely stay again.

旧鈴木邸 女性専用 ligger i Matsuyama, 2,1 kilometer fra Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine, og har overnatting med en hage, gratis WiFi, et felleskjøkken og en fellesstue. The place was lovely. It was like stepping back in time. The host, Maiyu, and her husband were super friendly. They own a cafe downstairs where she serves very delicious traditional dessert. The town itself was lovely as well. It's traditional bedding (so futon on the floor) and even though there was no AC at night, the cross breeze from some of the open windows, as well as the fans, made the room surprisingly cool. No mosquitos either!

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Aisul Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Just a minute’s walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Terminal Hotel Matsuyama houses a restaurant and offers Western-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Free bicycle rentals are provided. Staff, location and cleanliness were 100%! Couldn't ask for more, had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. Grateful for the discount to the super sento (bath) across the road too.
